While that is very positive news I think you’ll find most clubs now are in a similar position financially because all clubs profited handsomely from SloMo and the Jews generous Jobkeeper cash grab scheme. In fact most other clubs made a shed load more than we did out of it. I think Swans topped the table with just under a million dollars windfall due to their Rio/BHP sponsored regional programs that Swans run. They got a big number of staff so they profited handsomely from it.

EP and Peel have benefited enormously from their respective AFL alignments so have plenty of cash in the bank. I don’t think there is a poor club out there these days but ironically I think $ubi are the one performing the worst but still have plenty in reserve from their Subiaco Oval glory deal.

Goodluck to Swans DD on their financial windfall,but i've never understood how they were eligible for jobkeeper money when you would think Rio and BHP were the ones who would;ve stumped up the money for those regional programmes,and therefore the only ones you would think could claim it???

I wasn’t saying Jobkeeper is to thank for the position we are in, I think we only made about 140k from that  while others made a shed load more. Just saying other clubs are also in a good financial position for various reasons.  I think we made the least from Jobkeeper which either means we employ the least or we weren’t as shrewd as others.

The off field recruiting by Perth, is surely the best assemble of coaches any WAFL club has had in many a year......very surprised to hear players are jumping ship, surely with that ilk of footy prowess on the sidelines guiding the way, players would be keen to stay and join the team

On the money Freez. I'm dirty that the bulk of new coaches at Perth are ex-Subi players which begs the question, why aren't they back at our club? It appears Germo has been very proactive in bringing a wealth of WAFL experience on board which can only be a good thing at MRP.

Freezn, hard work is the problem.
The exodus I suspect is just simply lack of work ethic.
German has warned the Club from Board down 100% is the only acceptable result.
BC very happy to have your ex-Subi boys on board all of them have been part of your success.
Hopefully and I live in it, beware the sleeping giant.
Maybe not 2023 but beyond.
