Well that was the longest AGM I've been to.
Biggest crowd I have seen at AGM, hard to gauge the numbers must have been over 80.
Number of voters including proxies was over 100.
Profit $90k, Centurions Fund up to $607k.
Current assets including cash over $900k.
So we are in a very healthy position.
Change of Constitution re Life Membership - lost
Motions re member categories - lost.
Announcements for another couple of recruits in the next few days .
We have been in the mix with a number of high profile recruits including Crowden, Western etc but our name as a Club is still shit.
In the mix still with Bradkte but he is a train on at Richmond, I think he may get picked up by them which means Narkle won't.
Still very much talking to Narkle and Stack, don't be surprised if we get at least one of them back.
Incoming President is looking for a bodyguard to keep him safe from German.
Message seems to be it's his way or piss off and that's not just players.
Those players who have gone are not prepared to do the work required hence they have taken easy way out.
Some talent there but sorry bye bye.
This is what has to happen if we are to change things.
According to Barra expect to hear from him.
Don't expect miracles next season but don't be surprised if some surprise.

Good summary. Certainly a long and lively one. Couple of extras: Alistair Pickett working with indigenous players; Brian Cook, Andrew Young, Travis Burrows and Troy Cook elected to the board. WAFC has given us (and EP) an extra 20 points but no increase in the salary cap so useless.

Yes, there were positives to take from the AGM. For me, the big one was the healthy state the club is in. That is a solid foundation but much work to be done on club culture and becoming a destination club.
Not much on recruiting that we don't already know. Apparently, we slipped up with recruiting protocols last year and were fined. We are unable to declare ins until all WAFL protocols are in place. But, other ins are being worked on and we just have to be patient. Hopefully we will get some good news in a few days, not that we don't already know some of them.
I liked Barra's comments. I think that he will bring an overall refreshing new outlook to the club both on and off the field.
He was high in his praise of Peter German and the "my way or the highway" approach. The number of outs reflects that some players have chosen the highway. I suggest that we will not miss them.
I was pleasantly surprised at the number of high profile retired players are assisting the coach... Rumble, Priddis, Smith, Cousins, Ali Pickett. And David Mundy will join pre season in the New Year. If the players cannot learn how to play the game from all that those guys bring to the table then we have no hope.

Well the club had better start selling it to potential recruits around Australia because it’s probably the best coaching lineup outside the AFL. We will never see a better quality group of senior coach and assistants. That’s going to be your first job Barra, finding a higher profile person to run the football department who has better connections in the AFL.

While that is very positive news I think you’ll find most clubs now are in a similar position financially because all clubs profited handsomely from SloMo and the Jews generous Jobkeeper cash grab scheme. In fact most other clubs made a shed load more than we did out of it. I think Swans topped the table with just under a million dollars windfall due to their Rio/BHP sponsored regional programs that Swans run. They got a big number of staff so they profited handsomely from it.

EP and Peel have benefited enormously from their respective AFL alignments so have plenty of cash in the bank. I don’t think there is a poor club out there these days but ironically I think $ubi are the one performing the worst but still have plenty in reserve from their Subiaco Oval glory deal.
