Also Ben and Tim Noakes in about 2012. Also pretty poor and only played one season.

The Demons would have to be happy with the service given by Clay Giblett.
Only 8 games at East Perth followed by 85 games at Perth.

If what’s being said about Sparks is true, we are way better off letting them walk. Resentment would soon build in the squad if they thought they were better than everyone else (wonder if Peos is their manager 😂).

As Ted suggests, there have been some stinkers of trades between P and EP in recent times. I don’t include AJ in that as he has been ok and may hopefully improve further. But the last good player i can think of is Russel Thompson way back around 2000. We got some decent service from Frank Agostino, but can’t think of any others. Anyone think of any?
You got good service from Frank Agostino??? as far as i.m aware he spent his whole career at the Royals.

It seems we were both wrong, royallucky. Frank played for Perth in the 2009 season but only 5 games. So “good service” we did not get. Put it down as another stinker

Thanks for the info, Daz. Any info on where they have played before?

*Edit - Sorry Royallucky. I was the only one getting it wrong after misreading the stats. Frank played 2 scratch matches with Perth in early 2011 in a bid to return to WAFL after getting his knees right. He pulled the pin before the season began due to work commitments.

He pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour and copped a suspended fine of $500, hardly on the higher end of charges you could be charged with after getting into trouble in Northbridge but yes definitely a pattern there as he previously faced far more serious charges around the same place in 2019.

Guaranteed if we say Bye bye Mr Stack as someone suggests then half a dozen other WAFL clubs will swoop. As someone said Swans were pretty happy after taking on Andrew Krakouer after I think a 1 to 2 year stint inside, Subi virtually recruited the late Shane Yarran out of prison who went in to be a WAFL star and showed he had what it took to play in the AFL before things went south.

We have to put the right mechanisms in place for Stacky that probably includes employment and life skills, not just make it all about football and what he can do for us. I see an opportunity here for both parties. Hopefully new Prez Adrian Barich already has some ideas.

Gibba. There was Hardingham a few years back who was a solid player. La Fontaine was another bust. Brennan was good for EP in the same era as Thompson. 99
None better than Tony Papotto, John Maguire though past his best still very good.
