Agree. We must be pro-active. Surely we have intel contacts here and interstate. Yes, Kent and Parker should be targets and perhaps Narkle also. There should be prospects in VFL and SANFL .
Sitting on hands and hoping something might happen is not an option.

Hangs around with Percy Penguin. Goes to bed at 7.30pm everynight. Not a great communicator. Allegedly could have coached $ubi to flags 2014-2019.

I hope that the thorough process to find the best possible coach will be exactly that. Whether or not that process uncovers the best possible person will depend on those involved with that process.
I would like to think that the successful applicant is, in fact, the best possible person to lead our rebuild.
There will be potential coaches out there who do not apply on principal. They expect that if we are interested in them that we would approach them direct and privately. 
To do that is no disrespect to those who do apply but simply due diligence to ensure that the final decision to be totally thorough.
We need to get our man whoever he is. Nothing less will be acceptable.
 

Whoever said recruiting starts now was bang on. More, recruiting should never stop. We used to do ES well but have only got Cary and Stubbs (who are no more than good depth) in recent times. 
I want to hear from the club who are the people who will search for the new coach. 
We’ve done experienced and new in recent times. It’s not rocket science. At the least, find candidates who have been around success or better have had success. Not playing success, I mean coaching success. 

I know the club has said they want an experienced coach but I think it would be worth them looking at Kyal Horsley 
He is currently in an assistant role at the West Coast Eagles and he knows what is needed to develop a successful club culture having been at Subiaco through their dynasty years.
Kyal also seemed to be the designated on field coach in the later years of his career. Most importantly he doesn't appear to be someone who would tolerate mediocrity at any level and would not be shy of telling anyone from the president down what he wanted. The Subiaco supporters would know more about him but I know some of them are very keen for him to come back to the Lions when Wardman is finished

Perth can keep their hands off him Mike. I reckon he's required at Subi the way we're going.
