Yes Dazz our skills lost us the game.
Constant turnovers under pressure beat us week in week out.
McInnes one of the worst offenders when not necessarily under pressure.
Yes I think both Chapman Jones and Hayward have shown potential.
we need to use Chopper down back in stead of sending Busher down there,

A dogged effort but yet again no cigar. Just not good enough. Maybe that's a bit harsh in the circumstances but WP presented us with an opportunity to stay in touch with the top 5 and we blew it.

A real kick in the guts that result. West Perth top of the ladder and virtually at full strength against our side with up to 8 league players missing, mainly through Covid. I thought the game had similarities to the first semi 2 years ago. We were in a great position to win the game early in the last quarter but just like that day we seemed to run out of steam. West Perth were more prepared to run hard in the last quarter and we couldn’t go with them. Byrne was one who went quiet in the last quarter and that hurt us with our run. Losing Stubbs early on was another body blow as he had been our best player in the previous 2 matches. Hopefully we can push on and believe we can match it with the top sides. Three more big ones coming up and who knows, if we can get some key players back such as Busher and Reagan Clarke, and possibly Stubbs is not a serious injury, then we should be able to push both Claremont and Subiaco in the next fortnight.

CM same reason, Subi and CL both had to suit up for their respective games early in the season with around 20 players missing from their senior lists. We all know there is a different set of rules for the WCER.

Good analysis Cesspit and I agree. Similar to that final in 2020, even the freakish Munns goal similar in impact to Meadows in 2020 final and Carey’s as well. It was a great game of footy yesterday. Hard, fast, tough. Not one fwd dominated. Sing, Avery, Taylor on Knott after his first free goal and Sinclair were superb. Normally Keitel goes ape shit on us. 4 of the first 5 WP goals came from frees. 

 

Sorry Dazzler, only one free kick in front of goals for WP. It was a terrible game to watch, both teams struggled with skills, BTW Dazzler ten more free kicks to Perth, probably justified.
