I assume the lack of interest in this game is because we all know we're going to get flogged? 

There's been a bit of a malaise about the WAFL this season, Ted. I don't think it's just Perth fans. There is just little to get excited about it seems- and thats with my team winning 4 in a row!

KCEF yep I know a lot of regular WAFL fans who have just lost interest this year.

Covid is obviously playing some part in that, but as most of us predicted long before the season the Top 4 is virtually set before Rd1 (SU, SF, WP & CL) with the rest of the clubs just taking turns to fill the vacant 5th spot come years end, this year EF look like taking that mantle after a good start with a Dockers stacked Peel the only real threat!

 

Adding to the likelihood of a flogging is that Covid is having an impact. Article in the West says we have a number of players out. In terms of league players, H Busher, Clarke, Coniglio, Davis, Hug and Fisher are out. Fringe players J Busher, Bird and Jones also. Plus McPartland with concussion. A number of other players are waiting on PCR results and the club expects to lose more. As a result, we have 11 colts training with the league team. Big % boost for WP looming across all grades.

Just remembered. Supposed to be sorting out my sock drawer on Saturday arvo. 

West Perth have had the wood over Perth for ages, Perth knocked us off last year as underdogs, anything can happen. WP knocked off Peel with twelve regulars out, anything can happen. I will be there supporting the Falcons and the WAFL, I hope it’s a good game, a quality game and everybody has a good time. Good luck to all .

With so many players out, why wasn’t this game postponed? Just like the Eagles game? I know the answer. 

Great endeavour all day. Nicko must have been close to BOG. I liked Chapman-Jones' game and Hayward played his best game to date. Good game from Chopper.
A good team effort but over-run on the siren to miss out on the chocolates.
If you gave me a 1goal loss before the game I would have taken it. A brave effort by the boys. I expected at least a 10 goal drubbing.

Watched the last quarter. We looked great albeit with a strong breeze. We beat them there last year about this time and didn't win another. We have been in every game but the East Perth one. 

Cotls got 3 points to WP 103. But that's cause Perths staff don't do anything. No other reason - not.

Why was Magic Bennell playing fullback in the reserves?!?! Nutz

Yep, the Mayne mark not being paid would probably have got us a draw but the two McInnes and Hayward miss from 30 out killed us.
