Will Moss be the sort to play AJ and the other big young fella you have in the same side?......one could lurk in a forward pocket, whilst the other trucks......though coaches these days seem to like more mobility  then more height......

Good question, Freeze. If i had to pick our team right now, i’d leave ruckmen Reid and Baldwin-Wright (DBW) out and just have McInnes chop out in the ruck, leaving AJ to rest in the forward line. I’m sure not too many would agree with me on this, but IMO the other 2 are not yet good enough around the ground and are a bit of a liability once the ball hits the turf.

Over the course of the season though, i can see DBW coming back up to speed and being able to take more and more of the ruckwork. But we need him to do much more than that and to be honest Reid is ahead of him in that area.

I see that Brady Grey has a development role with the Dockers. The West reports he will still play for the Dees next season.

Can’t read the ball in the air and can’t  hold his ground in a contest at all. Not bad on a straight lead with silver service but can’t kick very well if he does mark it.

this has the potential to become entrenched, I am afraid. It will be like before 1970, something, which, the premier, coming from NSW, does not understand.

58 therein lies the big question over any number of players. Chances, commitment, belief or just plain wanting to do the tasks required. With any sort  of drive and a bit of luck PFC can get out of him what lies beneath! One thing is that he ain't dumb, last time I talked to him he had nearly finished his degree at UWA.

So pretty much like the guy he’s replacing then?

What he can do is get first hands on the ball in the ruck.  Although he doesn’t jump like he did when he was a bit younger.  He is not a natural footballer but if he comes to training and starts trying harder he might go well. East Perth would of kept him but  his form was a bit ordinary to play two ruckman every week.
