We are in unfamiliar territory, actually recruiting to meet our needs. Ajang is a good get and we have done well to beat Subi and Claremont who have also been looking for a ruckman. Taylor obviously did not want to play for us so, Sayonara, Arrividerci, Bon Voyage and Goodbye.
Gary Moss will know Ajang pretty well and must be confident that he will get what he is looking for from him.
So, Ainsworth and Ajang a good start but we do need to stay on song in pursuit of a tall key forward and, I would like to see another tall defender. Perhaps another midfielder as well.
Hopefully Trevor is working on that.

Yep. Remember the player i mentioned earlier in the year who approached South and that club called PFC to let us know he wasn’t in our protected 40? That was Taylor. And before that he was trying to get to Claremont. He sure didn’t wanna be here so “see ya!”

What an absolute tragedy. Undoubtedly the most naturally talented player I've seen play colts for us in the twenty years I've been watching. No one could ever stick a tackle on him. I hoped he'd be the small goal kicking forward we desperately need. Good luck to EP trying to get him on the park. Kim Farmer's got a big job ahead of her so all the best. Maybe Rhai'Arn Cox might be interested in coming over to Lathlain because Taylor's just taken his spot.

Daz Mr Cox is an interesting proposition, can be good but can go missing. He would be someone I would hate to lose.

Richardson, as expected, is gone from our player list. Shame, he was a good player, but had a wretched run with injury, both for Claremont and Perth. Was he a 5 point player? If so, Ajang uses those points. We still have a bit to play with. We lost Loersch, Masten and Richo,  27 points, and so far have Ainsworth and Ajang, for 15 points. Does anyone know if we get an extra allocation given our dismal 2021? Given we lost points for finishing 6th, and EF and EP were given additional points, surely we should be given at least an extra 10 for 2022.

It was only dismal because of your injuries Ted...would of thought the points would be adjusted over a few years of performance, not one.....prior to this year you guys finished 6th a couple of times and 5th last year......did Subi get any more points this year after falling from premiers in 2019 to 6th in 2020?.....that's a bigger drop in rungs compared to Perth this year?.....The points would be going up n down like a yo up for the likes of EF, EP and SD then....

Will Moss be the sort to play AJ and the other big young fella you have in the same side?......one could lurk in a forward pocket, whilst the other trucks......though coaches these days seem to like more mobility  then more height......

So we finally got our man hey, the big Gangajang. Apparently he was on the freeway last year on the way in to sign when he rang up to change his mind. Bronte must have stepped in.

An interesting trade between the two clubs. Both taking on risks by the sounds of the comments by some Royal supporters. EP have a big job on their hands getting Elijah's head in the right space. These guys tend to drop their head very quickly if the AFL clubs aren't showing any interest. He better get it out of his head that some AFL club is going to take a risk on him anytime soon.

Pissed off he didn't knuckle down at our club. Hopefully Ajang Ajang proves to be a quality recruit and trains like a professional.
Get on your bike.

Yes, we got our man DD and a good get for us. I have heard some whispers of discontent by some Demons' supporters that we should not have traded Taylor. He actually approached 3 other clubs whilst a listed player at Perth without notifying the club beforehand. I believe SF did the right protocol thing and advised the club. Not sure that Claremont and EP showed the same respect.
Taylor obviously did not want to play with us. He has the ability and potential to be a star at WAFL level and I can understand that some may disagree with the trade. It was a judgement call for both us and EP and only time will tell which one got it right, if either or both.
In the meantime we have recruited to meet some of our needs. With Masten, Loersch and Richo retiring we have saved 27 points which more than covers the Ainsworth and Ajang deals with hopefully still room  for one or two additional recruits.
I still want to see another tall goalkicker and a tall defender on board. If Chris Mayne ( 1 point ) ultimately plays next season we probably have an answer to one of those needs.
Apparently we have a new fitness person and the emphasis will be on a very tough pre season. That will sort a few out no doubt.

A very tough pre season Smokey. Well no wonder Taylor was out of there in a flash.
As far as I’m concerned he will be no loss whatsoever.
I do wish the club would explain the Mayne situation. We all hoped he would be our big recruit and for some reason now he is not playing. Why ?
Surely he can be involved in the futures programme and still play WAFL footy. A bit of time management needed. Moss and Williams should be onto him big time about playing next year.

I think Chopper still wants to play. I do not know why there is so much doubt about it.
