Yep that's a big worry. Sounding more and more like deja vu. Trevor said in hindsight it was probably a mistake to play him last week. From memory that was the reason Busher left us in the first place. Does Claremont have better injury management processes than us?

The news on Busher doesn't sound good. The injury us described as "quite debilitating" and he will be out for an "indefinite period."

Unbelievable isn’t it? Maybe Claremont supporters can shed some light on Bushers games missed due to injury? Just bad luck Haydn really takes care of himself in his preparation, probably more professional than a lot of AFL players. He is a credit to himself. He is a massive out. I’d feel better if both Gibba and Taylor were back in.

Why isn’t Mathew Taylor on the injured list if he isn’t available? I’m happy to see Quill get a chance. Has struggled to string games together since crossing over from the dark side. Hopefully he gets a fair bit of the pill and can hit the scoreboard.

I’m worried why Brady Grey is down on the interchange and Hayward is named? Got a feeling Brady is under a cloud.

DD, I don't think the Bush missed many games for us, certainly not over his last few seasons. Having Claremont pool across the road has always been handy for us, I don't suppose the Dees are allowed to use the Eagles pool are they?

I do not know whether or not WCE help us with injuries on occasions but, if not, we should be enquiring if they can help out at times if needed.

Superb % game by the ressies today. Christian Eyres made a statement.

Yep, go the ressies. The only interest left in the season now is: 1. Can the resssies go all the way?, 2. Can the colts win a game?, 3. Can the league avoid the wooden spoon? It's is so familiar, it's almost comforting. No chance of finals, and fighting to avoid the spoon. We are closer to last than to the 5. One win ahead of EP and PT, 2 ahead of WC. If WC continue to turn out with 12-14 AFL players, any team will struggle to beat them. EP are obviously improving. Funny how EP get 2 key players back and show immediate and significant improvement. We get 7 and go backwards.

The "Planning for 2022" thread didn't get much traffic last week. Maybe people thought it was premature? How about now? We have an ageing list, and one that we have clearly overrated. The only young guys in the reserves you can see being reasonable long term players are Gray, Hunter, McPartland and maybe Meloncelli, while there is every chance not a single colts player will play a league game.

Game, Set and Season. Thank you ballboys, linesmen and thank you everyone.
Without doubt we are going backwards. Yes, long term injuries have hurt us but have also highlighted a lack of depth that, I for one thought we had improved but has now been revealed as inadequate. There seemed little method in their game.
Langlands today not good enough, Clarke and Byrner obviously closely checked all day. They need to deal with that as it is going to happen.
Grey had a good game and Jordan Reid tried hard. Avery seems to have fitted into the backline. Sinclair slow to start but then had a good game.
Mitch Browne has been a revelation and was good again today but he must be better with his decision making. He seemed a bit confused today as to whether to play on or take a set shot at goal. He could have kicked 4 or 5 today.
Souths were far too slick all day and had a lot of method in their game. Very accurate kicking made it look good.
Masten injured again. Got to be some concerns about his playing future. McInness  seemed to have little impact on the game.
Our defence was overrun by Souths but battled on. We do miss Taylor.
Hopefully McInness, Grey, Sinclair and Giblett will be better for the run but no Busher is a great concern..
For me, a lot of soul searching to be done by the club at the end of season review.

Busher should be available in about 3 weeks. DBW might be available next week.

Queries for me:
Langlands obviously a disappointment, not sure his up to WAFL.
Masten, queries about his future I think father time might have caught him
We need a decent ruckman.
We laso need a clearance specialist - hard nut.
Why is Yeo still playing reserves?
We need to get more games into Avery, Steel, McPartland, J Clark.
Moss ??
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.

Ever hopeful!  if we win one more that EF there is still a chance on my reckoning.... will depend on others and we need 6 from the last 8.  Otherwise should we "blood" prospects for next year?  The problem with this as I see it others move on as well and we always seem to be behind the pack.

I am not as hopeful as you VPB. West Perth next week and then Subi. We have 2 games v EP who seem to be improving, and our last 2 games are Claremont at home and Peel/Freo away where we rarely win on last game of the year.
I estimate that we need to win both our next 2 games or else it is the end. To make the 5 we need 10 preferably 11 wins and with only 8 games to go we cannot afford many more losses. Do the maths....  3 more losses and it will all be over.
