Good news, some pundits may be wrong.
Reports in this morning's paper from the Club is that he has played reserves for Calingiri reserves.
And has done all that is required of him.
Back training at Perth and given fitness up to scratch may play after the bye.
Well done EJ.

Long way off , seen him play last Sunday in the Calingiri reserves , did not break out of a walk , no more than a handful of kicks , disinterested and very heavy. A lot of work to do in 3 weeks.

You would think he would have spent the last 5-6 months working his butt off and he would be in top condition. That's no substitute for match fitness, but if Roylas 78 is right, it doesn't augur well. A fit player with AFL aspirations would dominate the Mortlock reserves, even on the back of 9 months out of footy. Maybe next year if he is motivated.

I think if you read between the lines DF, he’s a long shot to play any league footy this year. What Townsend says seems a lot different to what Trevor is saying.

West is reporting he won't play in 2021 as been involved in a car accident and has sustained leg injuries. Sounds like he has been fortunate to be not more seriously hurt. Hopefully 2022 will be a much better year
