I really don't think we going to be able to win enough games to challenge for finals before our top players come back. Apparently Sinkers is out for 6 weeks. It will be hard to win more than 2 at best without him, Grey, McInnes and Smith, plus Masten on one leg. Yes, good fightback but how did we concede 8 goals in a quarter? We are too slow. Hendo... in second quarter, Busher did a clever soccer for Hendo to run onto for what should have been an easy goal. Despite a 10, head start, he laboured after it, got run down, tackled and they cleared it. Browne also way too slow. Good to have the bye next week. I say Yeo comes straight back in, along with McP and Richo. Henod, Browne and Quill out. And what to do with Eyres? 1 disposal for the match, and that was a scrappy kick out of a pack that was smothered/ Like being a player down.

And to rub salt into the wounds Busher was laying on the ground calling for a trainer after the final siren. Looked like lower leg.

It was pretty obvious to me Peel were on top when Eyres was in the ruck, came back into the game every time DBW went in the middle. Christian Martin is on the improve this year and thought he did some good things in the two’s. I’d drop Eyres for him.

That was a fkn embarrassment of a performance today. Absolutely burnt off the park by a far more skilled and committed team. Zero fwd pressure all day, they just waltzed out at will. Full credit to SuperCoach. He got his team up for the game. Something ours didn’t, again.

I agree with your comments Ted. We have 4 long term injuries to key players plus Masten on one leg that are going to cruel our season. We are now facing West Perth, Souths and Subi on the run. Lose those games and we will be too far behind to make finals. And we will face all our demons (pardon the pun) a second time around before the season ends.
Crossed fingers on Busher though I thought looked ok at the end.
Yeo will be a crucial in and McPartland and Richo must come back in.
I agree Eyres has become a big problem. We have to stick with DBW to get the job done. He will need some support from who? Martin is not a ruckman.

That was just terrible.
We looked ok in parts of the last quarter but I put that down to Peel stopping, they’d done there job sealing the win earlier,an eight goal opening term on our home deck is unforgivable.

Our rucks and I include both were soundly beaten by a guy that played his whole career as a backman.
One mark between the two for the whole game, pathetic!
Can someone explain to me Mitch Brownes role in the team?
He’s not a small crumbing goal kicking forward, can’t play midfield and is not a backman, what’s his role?
The inclusions today did nothing to make supporters think we are going to be ok.
Inject new blood, debut players be bold if a colts players bypasses ressies to play league so be it,try something new.

Until we get our injured players back on the park we need to stay in touch with the five we have to win the games at home and away that we are expected to win and that included a Peel team today that had so many inclusions and players out from there last game.

By the way what’s our game plan?
Our skill level by hand and foot seems to be going backwards if that’s possible.

StT, how'd SuperCoach engineer the win?? Sounds like he'll be a good addition at Shark Park next year

I agree 30+. We need to be bold and start bringing young players up .
Jack Avery averaging some 35 possessions in a losing Colts side. Apparently will play ressies next game. Harry Quartermaine 5 goals today in a losing side.
Brodie Gray.. just what does this kid have to do to get himself an opportunity at league level.? Same with Nyika John.
Jye Clark must come back next game. He had a good game today back from injury.
Perhaps not all at once but gee we need to find out what they have got.

To get a game it looks like you have to be a fave of the coach.

And he’s got the wrong horses in his faves stable.

Hendo, Browne, DBW, Quill ffs.
Your constant bagging of DBW is ridiculous. The guy is on an upward projection, one of few players who are. I would love to see his disposal efficiency statistics because he follows up his ruck work very well and competes well and rarely makes a mistake once he’s got his hands on the football. Would we like him to average 5 marks a game? Sure we would. Do we wish he had a big leap on him to get over the top of other ruckmen? You bet, but he’s 199cm and on the improve and I don’t see him getting dominated, in fact we do better when he is at the centre bounces.

Yet you have only just come to the conclusion that Eyres is hopeless? By the way so is Reid from Claremont. I’d piss them both off and roll the dice with Hunter, Martin, East and Steel.

And by the way, in the colts Peel have a 202cm bloke from Collie, 199 from South Mandurah, 198 from Secret Harbour and 196 from Warnboro. What was the tallest we had? 196cm from Kenwick, 193 from Kenwick, 194 from Cunderdin,192 from High Wycombe (SD zone).
