If that’s the case why hasn’t the club announced anything? That was 3 weeks ago 

My information is that Richo will be back at training next week albeit walking and light running. It does suggest that it is a bit of an early call on the end of his career.

Jake Waterman the only big in for WCE. No Vardy or Langdon.

Smokey Vardy and Langdon named as omissions I would expect they would play?

Also Witherden or Brander will play. They will be a lot stronger than the team that has been.

 

Vardy, Langdon, Witherden & Brander not named in WCE team, not even as emergencies. Could possibly be late inclusions???
Can they change the team posted on WAFL ???? I expect at least 2 of them will be emergencies for WCE AFL team and 1 will be the injury sub..

Josh Smith, Doulton Langlands, Jye Clark and Jaiden Hunter will all make their debuts today. Best of luck to these four players and here’s hoping for a ripping day of footy with a Demons win.

La Fontaine, Peletier, Reid and Stubbs will be the emergencies.

Courageous win today, plenty of room for improvement too. Margetts tried hard for WCE but just couldn't quite drag them over the line.

Will take the win, of course, but not altogether happy. We conceded far too many goals. A leaky backline has been a problem for a while. Hopefully McInnes is not too bad, but good effort to kick 16 goals and win overall with him out of the game early. If the McInnes injury is serious, we have to do whatever we can to get Claremont to release Busher.  Agree with StT re DBW. If he was 19, I'd cut him some slack. But he's 22, going on 23. Even allowing for the concept that big men take longer to develop, I don't think he will get better. He gave away 6 free kicks today. He averages less than 2 marks a game. Play Eyres this year and make getting a quality, mobile ruckman for next year a priority. There was some discussion pre-season about Ajang. Don't know how serious that was, but he's the kind of player we could really use. Against Subi he had 19 disposals, 5 marks and a goal. When was the last time a Perth ruckman had numbers like that? 

On a more positive note, It seems the recruits proved their worth, Langlands and Smith had good numbers, while Clark was ok. Hunter didn't get much of it, but took 5 marks and kicked a goal. McPartland may be the small forward we've been waiting for. Good job by the Sheriff, with 16 touches, 5 marks, 2 goals. Good spread of goal kickers, with 11 players hitting the scoreboard. All up, a reasonable win in tough conditions against a WCE team that had a long tail but whose big guns all fired.
