I want to know if this change in Coach will bring a complete clean out of the on-field support staff.
Some of the faces have been there for a decade.
These individuls are having a word in the Coach's ear.
Some of them look like they wouldn't have got a game in U14s.
What are Moss's credentials and is he going to bring something different to the Club.
Because what we have done for 42 years hasn't worked.

Spot on DF. As someone else keeps suggesting each year "same sh*t, different bucket".
We are playing 10 or more players who are not up to it and when we go to the bucket there is very little there.
While we continue to have weak local and country zones the problem will not be fixed. As I understand it, there has been a proposal to allocate new zones to the club which has been given the green light but which has been shelved. No-one seems to want to fix this mess. WHY???
We get some very good players coming through particularly from Northam, but as soon as they come through the Colts they are drafted. There are just not the quality numbers emerging.
One game to go and no matter the result we do not play finals for yet another year and not likely to in the near future unless there are signifcant changes both externally and from within.
I expect a strong statement of intent from the club as we close off our 2020. That will
need to be clear about the future of the club without BS spin.

Ted Nugent wrote: Dazz, the problem is, as it has been for much of the season, that there is no-one to replace these guys. From the reserves, the only guys you could bring in would be DBW or Eyres. Burke is out of favour, Roe is doing nothing, Browne can probably replace Hendo or Payne, but he's no better, Marlin too slow, Hansen too lazy. After that, there is literally no-one. What I would do is bring in DBW and have Dela at CHF. Langdon for Hill and Browne for Hendo. But it's just deckchairs on the titanic stuff, we won't get close to SF.

We probably wouldn't have made finals anyway, even beating SD. But at least we could have looked back on a season where we did what we needed to do, it just wasn't quite enough - beat the teams we were expected to beat and snatch one other good win. That would have given some confidence going into next year. But after that effort, close to half our team has been exposed as not having the necessary skill and/or commitment for league footy. I reckon we thought all we needed to do yesterday was pop the ball up to McInnes and McDonald and they would kick a winning score. No need to worry about defence or hard running.

Agree with everything you say Ted. This is the structural weakness of this club. Its inability to retain and develop talent.

The guys I mentioned, all decent players, but we're not going to get better as a club if we can't replace them in our best 22. Yep, we've run out of soldiers in the end and it shows with our midfield getting absolutely spanked yesterday. Those two Vic guys Swans picked up in the midfield - Fisher and Anderson - were sensational. I'd love to see the stats but I reckon no team gives away more goals from frees in their backline than we do. How many opposition goals do we concede from free kicks? There's a fkn stack of things for Moss to fix when he takes over starting with the list.

We're still alive and that means there's still hope, however faint, but being a long suffering Demons supporter that probably means it gets snuffed out in humiliating fashion next Saturday.

I fear that SF will send out their reserves team.
And flog us.
No guts in the Club, soft as butter and very little talent of significance.

Young Connor McPartland showed that he was up to the level yesterday although he did miss an absolute sitter. He should get another go next week.

First thing Moss needs to do is a complete cleanout of the coaching panel of assistants all the way down to the reserves and bring in his own assistants and let him appointment the reserves coach who needs to be on the same page.

It's got to be Mossy's way or the highway. And he should already have a fair idea who he wants to wave goodbye to. That's been the beauty of this appointment. He should be able to hit the ground running as soon as our season ends.

I was more so talking about the football department Freeze in that regard but I think by having a look over pre season and the shortened season he has a had a decent sample to probably tap a few blokes (on field and off field) and say goodbye. I would like to see him bring in a few people who he knows or has worked with, be it ex EP, ex Hawthorn or whatever who want to work with him.

I've heard, and from what little I have observed he seems like a fairly quiet mild mannered sort of coach. Maybe what the modern day younger types expect these days. If that works and he can get the best out of them then I don't care if uses Auslan to communicate.

The game had a lot of errors and the ball was turned over by both teams, especially in the second half.....not many points on the scoreboard.

Great to see Logan McDonald and Denver Grainger-Barras play on each other. Stars of the future.

A great sportsman gesture by Perth in staying on the ground and lining up to acknowledge Riggio’s 200 game. Well done.

Good luck Perth for next week against SF .Hope the other games’s results go your way in getting into the finals.
