Just not acceptable. A total football lesson, Subi last week exposed a huge gap and today Swans widened that gap further.

I am livid. Utterly disgraceful. SD just ran so much harder than us, especially in the first half. We are slow, lazy and soft. Richardson 4 touches, Hill 5, Payne 7, Nicholas 7. Even Sinclair had 6. SD 64 more disposals and 13 more inside 50s. That shows a team that worked harder and wanted it more. In the second half, we kept SD scoreless in the 3rd, yet still couldn't make a dent in the scoreboard.

So where to from here? We are almost certain to finish 6th, and all that goodwill and confidence is gone. We need pace badly. Hendo, Payne, Colledge, Rogers, Jones far too slow. I'm not saying get rid of all of them, but if they play in the same team, we are exposed. Too soft - Hill and Edmonds. Just not good enough - Nicholas and Davis.

We are clearly mentally weak. We have been right in the mix for finals late in each of the last three seasons. We lost the last 4 in 2018, lost 9 out of 13 to finish 2019, including the last game to a third rate Peel, now we look like losing the last 3 this year to go from being 2 games and % clear in the 4 to finishing 6th.

Geez, Perth have it all to do next week!

Ted, I am livid too. I could not have summarised it better than you have done.
Yes, we have had a bad run with injuries but these last two games have been unacceptable.
Finals remain a far off dream. Not only are we mentally weak, we are dangerously short on depth. You have named some players and I agree, in my opinion there are up to a dozen players who are not up to it.
You ask where to from here. The answer might be mind boggling. If we are already at the limit of our points cap how do we replace half a team. We had 4 Colts boys playing today. We will lose 2 of them in the draft. And we cannot rely on developing others in numbers.
We recruited well this year. The three WCE boys are good value and Delahunty and Stubbs have settled in well. But, with points limited I cannot see where we go from here.
Fraser and Grey look like staying at this stage but after that I have no idea.

Delahunty is not a ruckman in my opinion.
Yes he has a leap but today the timing of that leap was so far out it was obvious.
2 Dads or Eyres clearly had to play today.
But can we please win a clearance.

Our skill level is just embarrassing, the players looked devoid of confidence from the first bounce. Didn’t help that Brady Grey seemed hampered by a tight hamstring so he spent the entire first half in the forward line. Went in the centre after half time but didn’t look his usual explosive best.

I got a little excited at half time in the ressies when I saw Stubbs out there having a jog along the boundary but he ran laps which was probably a last minute fitness test but he didn’t suit up.

I left when Hendo fumbled to pick up the ball when he was 20 metres in the clear. I’d seen enough. Clearly our quality of depth is hopeless. Got beaten in the reserves after being up by 5 goals to 2 when I walked in midway through the second quarter.

We are embarrassing and don’t deserve to play finals.

Yep thank god the date has changed.
