Just had a look at the injury list on the PFC website. It has Stubbs (hamstring) and Hill (calf) listed as "test." Neither of those guys is a top line player, but if they miss our depth is such that it is hard to see who would replace them. Marlin and/or Hansen may keep their spot. Surely Burke would have to get his chance now if Hill needs replacing. Rogers would have to be a straight swap for Stubbs. Alternatively, Langdon for Hill, and Burke to replace Marlin. I think Burke gives us some extra pace that we really need.

We have very few players in the reserves with league experience. Apart from Burke and Langdon, there is only Dennis, Roe, Henderson and Peletier. (who has played 2 games) If we look to drop Marlin and/or Hansen, do we bring in someone with experience, or roll the dice on a player like McPartland? Unfortunately, we are limping to the finish line. I think our only real hope is that, even depleted, we can do enough to see off SD, and hope that WP can beat S next week.

Hopefully we get a head to head contest between the two draft prospects Mcdonald and Grainger- Barrass, that would be worth watching. I would expect a reasonably close contest for 3 quarters with Perth pulling away in the last to win by 3 or 4 goals. Swans last quarters this year have been very unproductive. Masten would be a particularly tough loss for you guys to cover.

Ted for me both are genuine best 22 and Stubbs is an emerging player with a tremendous upside I believe. He has already shown he's got good hands, uses his body intelligently, is good overhead and has a booming kick. Langdon I agree is a straight swap for Hill if he is out and agree Joshua Burke or Roe for Stubbs if he doesn't come up.

But I'd rush in either McPartland or Browne who I think played his first reserves game for the season for Hansen who just doesn't give enough. I think also Davis is on shaky ground but I'd keep showing faith with him at this stage. Just realized Colledge isn't on the injured list so he has to come in.

The worry for me is seeing Eyres photo in the email link to this weeks game.

Phew my fears were unfounded. DBW holds his spot and good to see McPartland and Browne named though I think only one will probably play. I’m tipping Rogers straight swap for Stubbs out with injury, Colledge in for Marlin and McPartland in for Hansen. Langdon I’d say is the emergency for Hill if he fails a fitnesses test.

Given the outs I think that’s the right Ins.

Win this week or I’d suggest that elusive finals berth will be gone again

Unless of course we have a number of players with ‘general soreness’ next week ?

Some handy ins. From extended bench I'd go with Colledge, Davis, Jones and Rogers. Langdon to come in if Hill doesn't come up. I assume this is not how we will line up. Got to have Rogers on a flank, along with Richardson. Payne should be tagging Anderson, Fisher on a wing or on the ball, Coniglio in a back pocket and Sinclair on the flank. But I think we look better this week than against Subi.

Have Browne or Cary played any reserves? They are not the sort of players you would just rush back into the league team. They can be handy, but really just depth players. I see Hendo is number 8 - has something happened to Dennis?

I'll answer my own question: Dennis is named in the reserves as number 54. Ryan Murphy is also named in the reserves, as number 62.

Considering all the injuries it seems the side for Saturday is as good as we could expect and better balanced than last week. Good to have Moose back from injury albeit he usually plays with chronic injuries.
McPartland gets his chance. I liked what I saw of him in his ressies debut last week. He looks like a pocket rocket. Not much of him but well built for his size and a bit of a ball magnet. Knows where the ball will be and tends to get there. Has a bit of grunt and may be well suited as a small forward to apply offensive pressure. No doubt he will also get the odd run through the midfield. Good luck to him on debut.
Ted, Carey has played a couple of ressies games and Browne played last week also.

Good to see Ryan Murphy back. Hopefully he can stay fit.

Be nice to get a report on Murphy if anyone sees the ressies.
