The stats tell the tale. We just did not get enough of the ball and when we did we turned it over too easily.
I cannot see what Hansen brings to the side. I would keep Marlin in and Rogers replaces Hansen.
Subi are a good side. They should not be under estimated.
Another tough game next week. We have to re-group and come out to play on the day.

TFAF, agree re Edmonds, he's just not hard enough at it, but same old problem: who comes in? Smokey, I would be concerned that if we had McInnes, Jones, Marlin, and Rogers in the forward, we would be far too slow. Marlin was named half-forward, so Rogers is a straight swap.

Perhaps Ted, but I cannot see a place for Hansen.
We were blown off the park in all three games and I cannot see where, as a club, sustained improvement will come from.
O'Driscoll showed a bit today but like McDonald will probably be drafted. McPartland showed good form in the ressies on his senior debut. Other than that I do not see where we improve to the extent that we can consistently compete with with teams like Subi, WP and Souths.
We still have a huge gap to close. Our skill level is low, our footy smarts are almost non existent and we have no sensible run and spread. Having said that we do not know how to stop the run and spread of other teams. Swans may exploit us on that next week.
Probably sound a bit harsh but for me the reality is that when we are focused and fired up we worry and beat some clubs but not the smarter ones.

Smokey I saw a lot to like today with your blokes. You had some big names missing as did Subi but yours probably impacted a bit more than ours did. The likes of College, Rogers, Yeo and Masten meant more to the outcome than say Lockyer, Borchet, Harry Marsh and Litherland because we have a bit more depth to cover them. The other thing that impressed me was that Perth kept on coming all day and never threw the towel in. Next year with a full squad in a normal season your mob will be thereabouts imo.

Agree, bobs up now and again but not consistent enough.

Spot on Smokey. Our depth is as bad as I've ever seen at the club. Mitch Browne played ressies today and I'd be tempted to rush him in at least he has a crack and throw McPartland in. Look's like he digs in and has a go.

Something seriously needs to be addressed with our zones and sounds like that might happen in the near future which has been a long time coming.

Yes Smokey in all three grades we rank poorly in defence and attack.
We have to rely on a low scoring scrap to compete with the best teams and our defence is not up to restricting a gun team to 10 goals.

IMO for the remainder of the season I’d play McIness and Delahunty in the ruck,McIness can provide that marking and grunt around the ground,id bring in maybe Roe as that mobile forward and I’d play Stubbs at FF.

There’s no doubt we are hurting with midfield injuries and it’s obvious we can’t cover them,so we have to be different in the way we go about it in other areas I wonder if we have it in us to do that.

I got the impression your delahunty seemed lost in the midfield. I’d give him a run at CHF.

TBH I don't think you have much to worry about on that front. Perth just need to put some pressure on when Swans have the ball and we will inevitably cough it up similar to what happened against East Perth yesterday. The other interesting thing you may have noticed is that the final round game between Perth and SF starts at 4.30pm Saturday week so by the time that game commences your players will more or less know the results of other games and whether they have to beat the Doggies to qualify. A small thing I know but it could be relevant.
