Changes will start this season Colts and League to play back to back with Reserves at 9am or at 5pm.

In my eyes that would throw everything into chaos. WAFL clubs don’t have resources to go to ammos games to see how their squad members are going when not playing league. I’m pretty sure reserves players don’t get paid anyway or if they do it’s only $50 a game.

Good on you again WAFC, continuing to ruin the whole fabric of the WAFL competition even further. No more proper build up to the league game and see who is playing well in the reserves.I think a lot of reserves players will leave the WAFL and play elsewhere. This lunacy is obviously about the AFL of course. The vast majority of people who go to the WAFL would rather watch the reserves than colts or, heaven forbid, women’s football.

If lists were reduced to 35 you might be talking only 3 or 4 that need a place when you take injuries and emergency players into account. The only way I would accept Perth being involved is if they were accommodated in the reserves only and it was an agreement and in no way an alignment or host club..but that would still probably be getting into bed with the devil.

Surely the those strong underlying principles of Shields will ensure that the Perth Footy club doesn't become WCE play thing....perhaps those three new short term signings are indicative of things to come tho and are a bit of WCE grooming.

That there is half the problem F. Doesn't matter how strong Shields thinks his principles are. As clearly seen previously, big business with help from the 9 million dollar guy do like to get their own way. The fact that PFC have re-visited the topic after previously dismissing should be ringing alarm bells. Haven't lessons been learnt for Christ sake!!!? If not why not?

Very true WAG....I guess with 500K in the kitty one can be all righteous and vocal with ones principles when only talking say 20K....different ethos altogether when you are adding another few zeros to that number...can see why Bobby has gone all quiet on his principles....reckon besides those 60s hat trick of premierships, a deal with WCE and eternal financial security for the PFC, would certainly ensure Bobby a permanent place in the PFC history memorabilia on and off the park.

not sure why the hostility tho with smokester...just merely highlighting that Bobby was quick to publicly shut down any talk of Cody joining EF..out of principle.. but seems to be reluctant to shut down any talk of Perth joining WCE....but hey I could be wrong there too...apologies smokester just merely having some chat mate ....to alleviate my boredom of no restrictions life here in NZ.
