In all honesty BC I want to see him playing footy. He's too good a player to not be playing WAFL. The comp has enough problems without quality playing watching from the sidelines.

Plus this is the year to pinch a flag with a 10 game race to the line so we will need all hands on deck to beat SF in the GF.

All good points Daz but I was just wondering about team harmony and the water that's gone under the bridge. I agree 100% that it's a good time for a bolter to pinch a flag. The team that is best prepared to hit the ground running could get the chocolates and there's probably 5 or 6 that fits that bill including your mob.

I've found it interesting that it's been the players asking him to come back - not the club, the players. Yeo, Masten and now McInnes. Admittedly two of them are brand new there and probably don't know the history but if the players are saying we want him back then that's telling.

They cannot have the name AR. Perth Football Club (Inc) - it is an incorporated body.
Anyway I don't believe that they want the name so much. Just the license, and that would mean the WAFC would have to take the license from Perth and hand it to WCE.
Perth Football Club (Inc) would remain in the hands of it's members who would then decide it's future. Presumably it would become an amateur club.
If the members were to vote on an alignment it would be doubtful that a majority of 70% would be achieved IMO.

Has Cody agreed to play?
I thought he declined McInnes' approach.

This is the exact point I was making Dazzler when I started this topic. They will have to play somewhere and obviously Perth will be in the gun. I am not convinced our president, board and high profile members are totally against the idea, and that frightens me. Some on here will bury their heads in the sand of course and say no chance of it happening. I know for a fact Colin Lofts fancied the idea of Perth becoming the host club a couple of years ago.

I hear you Cesspit and I share your concerns. My bigger fear is not those in the club although there’ll undoubtedly be some keen to see it happen it’s the fkwits in the WAFC who can make it happen regardless
