Far too good for WAFL, surely someone would pick him up in the draft

Not much hurt factor though when he had the footy for Port though, be very surprised he gets another AFL gig.....good tank though and can run all day.....too good for the WAFL though that is for sure.....

Brad & Haggers interviewed him tonight and asked him what he will do if he doesn't get drafted by another AFL team and he said that he would take a year off to go travelling with his girlfriend.

Gee I didn't hear him answer it that way. He spoke about having his teaching degree and the sacrifices his girlfriend had made and said if he doesn't get another AFL opportunity he would like to work overseas as a teacher. Sounded to me like that could be years, not just a year off traveling. That would pretty much spell an end to his football career prematurely.

Travelling still I presume, I think the chances of him playing WAFL this season get slimmer by the week but I think he will play again, hopefully in wa and not sa

Hate posting in the negative and sounding like a wet sock. But one has to ask would he want to come back? With all the crap currently happening in the Wafl. The competition has lost too many players in recent years. They "retire" and leave the Wafl, only to resurface soon after and resume playing in the amateurs or a country league. Not saying Mitchell has done or would do, but just asking.

$60000 cash and a job is the reason top players play WAFL. Also the standard is not challenging in ammos and country footy.
