Dosser,
Not sure which club you are affiliated with...but it does sound like 'bean counters' or as you say 'doomsday' committee are running your club.
As mentioned before the strong clubs are not dropping sides!
It comes down to good management and structure...I am even hearing Stirling who have really changed their fortunes around are about too add a THIRD side?

Yes Stinker management is everything. Our President and coaches met on Saturday and rang , not messaged , personally every single player who has played for the club the last 5 years and gained commitment for all the teams easily and also encouraged at least 10/15 other players to come back or come out of retirement. It seems the personal touch of phone calls made all the difference.
We are now certain of filling all the teams for the first few weeks.

Well done to your President and committee "dosser " for standing their ground and defying the "doomsayers " getting pro active and doing the hard yards to make sure you fill the teams. Dropping teams is the most drastic and backward step a club can take.
I have just heard that Yanchep have enough players and are trying to enter another team back in either C 5 or another grade.

Well done to Stirling for getting a thirds team. If Yanchep get their Reserves back up that will mean that Rossmoyne and Bayswater will be the only clubs in the PFL to go backwards this year and have less teams.

You have to say it is weak as water for Rossmoyne to drop their reserves. They made the Grand Final last year so that would have to be a first for a Grand Final team to be dumped the next season. Have to say the same thing about Bayswater. I played their reserves twice last year and they had plenty of players and a lot of spirit.
Looks like either a lack of leadership , coaching  or a poor culture from both Bayswater and Rossmoyne to backwards like that.
Reserves are so important.

Actually that makes only Bayswater to have less teams in the PFL this year than last year  now that Yanchep have added another team.

I think you’ll find Rossmoyne had a 2nd womens team last year too, so they have gone backwards.
Pissweak effort to be dropping a team IMO, especially given they had a decent amount of talent through both grades in recent years.
I hope those behind the decision take a good hard look at themselves and start taking the steps to get a 2nd side on the park for 2023.

Yes you are dead right lookslikereign it really is weak as piss for Rossmoyne. There must of been a big fall out there .Clubs just don't drop a team that has made the GF. Very very poor management from their committee.

I hear Cottesloe Mens are also struggling for numbers, as they dont have a home ground and are using Wembley as their home oval.
C5 New comers Kelmscott are also doing it tough, trying to attract more players, but they did hold up well in a scratch match against Armadale last week,

That would be hard not having a home ground. Hope Cottesloe have a strong committe who will fight to the end to keep their reserves . There are a couple of examples on here of what club’s Presidents and committe have done to keep the reserves. Same with Kelmscott.

Heard around the scratchys on the weekend that Winnacot is struggling to field even 1 team in C5 . They only have about 15 registered players so very unlikely they will get a reserves team and maybe not even a League team.
