Got a few SF ex fellas floating around now from the AFL. Carter, Dell'olio, McGrath, Jones and Jetta.

Any word on who may be likely or not in joining SF in 2015??

I know we have chatted to all of them already . . . so have other clubs though.

all of the above are on the cards however we are broke so $ are the issue.

Bazza......Pickett & Garlett are certs for drafting....hopefully that's 70K there for your recruiting.....Schloithe, AhSiu, Loersch and Frampton are possibles either draft wise or rookie wise....at minimum as rookies that's 60K there for you......though depends on if the WAFC decide to take "their" share as reported in paper to pay for Dorro's possible return!!

Freez, even with good draft dough, I doubt we can splash out on players. The haemorrhaging of cash under the current admin has been near criminal, we are seriously stuffed, if we have to hand back 50 k from the host club deal, that will be a body blow, the dim wits staked the whole show on that cash.

Bazza, yes we have lost a lot of cash over the past 3-4 years but we have invested heaps into our club also. It isn't like we are broke, we do have a bit in the bank you know.

As all clubs do, they raise money through memberships and sponsorship each year to then spend on recruits etc and try to make a small profit over the year.

You will see us have better finances by the end of this year as we won't have to invest a lot in our facilities and we will tighten the budget off field. The money as always will be there to spend as that is the biggest expense as it is the biggest requirement for success.

And don't forget we could again have anywhere between 3-6 players drafted this year which will be some very handy coin.

Just get your memberships done and get a mate to join as well. That's what we can do for our club.

I see Leroy Jetta's name is now on the SF list on the WAFL site. Hopefully it's all good and he is on board.

Not sure about Ash McGrath though, even though he appears as an "in" on this forum here on ozfooty?? Where has that info come from?

He doesn't have anything left to prove and besides Country football could lure him to play with family.

BS the club has burnt up 700 Grand in least than 10 years.

Also we do not have money it the bank anymore.

Our Loans now exceed our savings for the first time in decades.

They better get a tonne of draftee money this year.

Memberships will bo doubt drop again and I have my doubts about sponsorhips staying the same.

to top it off the WAFC now want 50k a year for TV coverage.

Dogman for what it's worth I heard or read that Ash McGrath was keen to end his career at South, wanted to play 2 seasons. Heard it on the radio or read it end of the current season.
