Southener,Blayne's old man also played 24 games for Subi and I think his uncle also played for us around 1983.I spoke with Dean at an EP-Subi game last year and he was there to support his son but not the team he was representing.Iam surprised that Perth did not go after Blayne as he is the sort of player they could have built their defence around.Then again,going to Perth means joining a club with no hope of a premiership so he probably would have turned down their offers anyway.Young Fimmano seems like a real goer,judging from your comments and his stats last year.He was promoted twice to South's ressies and performed strongly both times.Do you know why he left SF to join Subi as he seems to have potential?

Yeah Troy , Dean & Paul were eventually all at South in the end (think we got Johnny Macdonald from you as well from memory around that time)

Braden apparently is all about opportunity in the immediate future & someone at Subi has seen the potential - then swooped with an offer the lad hasn't declined

Cheers Southener.I reckon Souths are in for a good year in 2015 with your strong finish last year and a good core of recruits.Late last year you beat Subi and we struggled to win by just 9 points in another late season game.That form looks extra good when you consider we eventually went on to beat the EP Eagles in the GF.Souths also should have some quality colts making their way up into the ones,making for a pretty strong outfit.Southener and other Souths supporters,how do you think the new coach will go?Have to be an improvement on Haselby I guess as I heard a few negatives about his style of coaching.

Paul just didn't have the experience (coaching) to handle critical moments in a game where opposing sides got a run on then fell out with senior players at the end & I thought his treatment of Millsy was deplorable really

As for 2015 I make no predictions as yet until our final squad is settled - but yes Having Kyle Hams , Cory Dell'Olio , Adam Carter etc plus a couple of colts around is good to see

Curls has a vastly different style compared to Hase already - it's alive down here
