The big Derby day. SF play EF at Fremantle Oval.
Is the abc tv televised game. And apparently also broadcast on abc radio.

Wouldn't they televise the Sat game instead?

Was surprised myself, Roman. Took the info from the wafl website. Did notice there is one game on the Sat (Perth v Swans) and the other 3 games being played on the Monday. It will be the first time abc tv has not broadcast a Saturday game from what I remember. I cannot recall them broadcasting a Monday game previously?

They have done foundation day games before but have done the Saturday game also.

If we can get between 7,000 and 8,500 it would be a great result if the weather is good.

Thank god the ABC is televising it. Hopefully the mighty bulldogs can make it 2 derby wins in a row

So if SF win doggie they will be on the same points as EF, yet EF may have to say goodbye to a top 4 berth......mmmmm not too sure what you mean......seems to me SF need the win more than EF......touch wood a big crowd is needed as well as a cliffhanger result to get the WAFL some much needed exposure.

Long range weather forecast is looking good too. Going for a max of 18° and fine conditions with easterly winds. Hopefully everyone gets across to Fremantle Oval and a bumper attendance is there.

I reckon if we get 5000 we will be doing well going by current figures this year.

The total attendances at all games is down this season (thus far).
But having said that, the attendance for the derby in season 2013 being just a touch over 5,100. 2012 had a crowd figure of just over 6,800. Season 2011's attendance for the same match is said to be just over 7 and a half thousand. And 8,156 has been recorded for this match in 2010. I'd be surprised if the attendance is not up there.

What I mean Freeze is if SF lose then we are gone for the year except for a miracle winning 8 of our last 11 or something and if you guys lose it and WP, EP win it means you're a bit behind with only 1 win from your past 5?? Not good form to win 8 of your next 11.
