Not sure about the unintentional bit JL imo if club CEOs and Finance Directors don't know what is in and out of the salary cap by now, then they shouldn't be in the job. In saying that, I reckon it's a pretty safe bet most if not all clubs do some pretty fancy accounting to hide things...it's just a case if you get caught or not.

They decided to go right through us even though it was proven there was no deliberate or multiple breaches mate - I believe it could be to do with the outside the cap payment that is allowed , somehow it got stuffed up and wasn't reported as it usually is 

Ridiculously savage penalty and hopefully the club appeals for a fair go

So my question is why didn't Peel Thunder get this same sanction when they've been turned over at least twice for salary cap breaches  , once in the past 4 years was deliberate ???????

The 8 Point Penalty is unprecedented in WAFL cannot think of precedent, sounds like they are copping it sweet no appeal. Which for mine is pretty lame.

Just astounded at the penalty given the stuff that has gone on in recent years at other clubs with not a hint of a penalty, ffs WPFC were trading while insolvent breached their licence and god knows how much money subi was chucking at players for years, then theres Peel, all stinks of wafc sweet heart deals to me.

They were never going to be a realistic finals/premiership threat this year anyway tbh, more of a race to avoid bottom 3 now starting negative two games, recruiting hit and 25 less in the bank knocks future seasons as well.

mate the only other time in history where premiership points were threatened was way back in 1981-82 when the old WANFL told East Perth they would be de-registered if they kept trying to join the VFL
There's some members pretty pissed off and it's growing so I'm hoping we can push for an appeal
