The China of today is a bit like the Soviet Union of pre WWII.The end game is a big boy fight but there not just sure yet.
The bases on the South China Sea bullies all the smaller nations around them.They have bought navel bases all over east Africa with claims for the empty Indian Ocean.
The Soviets annexed the Baltic States.Stole territory off Romania and started a war with Finland.
Today's world a little bit different with the Chinese a lot better behaved than Stalin's Soviets.
Back in the 1950's Korean war.General MacArthur didn't think he would of had much trouble cleaning up the Chinese. President Truman and his advisors like Marshall where horrified of conflict with China.So muck so they gave MacArthur the flick.

Don't think anything will come of this little spat between the US and Iran. Trump was expecting retaliation and was warned the bases would be hit. That is why he was not too concerned after the attack.
I think it was obvious all along the passenger jet was shot down Wed morning. It looked like it on the video.
And the americans had better be careful with what they say because they have themselves have previously shot down passenger aircraft with huge loss of life. The Russians had better shut up because they are good at shooting Korean passenger jets out of the sky. There will be a bit more huffing and puffing for a little while before things settle. My hope is the major airlines permanently stop flying over that part of the world.

Yep, pressure got too much and were forced into an embarraisng back down and now look like an international laughing stock.

So far in the effort to avenge the death of some scum bag general they have crushed 52 people to death, and shoot down and killed 176 people just about all Iranians...

and ..Launched a piss weak rocket attack on the US Base.

All without the loss of a single US Soldier.

The mullahs know they have an inept incompetent military that would get toweled up in 48 hrs if the US and Israel got mad, and if that happened the regime would fall as most people in Iran dont want them.

Like sport like spending years in a tertiary institution all the theory and practice in the world is not the same as the real thing. When was the last time China fought a war? Japanese ate them for breakfast. The Chinese have two things going for them size and numbers but they ain't got experience. They wouldn't know which way to look if the shit hit the fan. The yanks live and breath it and are constantly involved with REAL conflict. Never underestimate that.

The Chinese are a modern well equipped highly trained and professional military and building.

China is a hell of lot better equipped than the USSR, big difference is they have a powerful economy open to capitalism now and the money and technology is pouring in.

The USSR ran a rust bucket command economy that would always end up broke and their military became decrepit, that's not the case with the Chinese.

Their Naval Power is a long way off global dominance, but in a land war or even in the Air they would dominate any nation in the world. They could invade Taiwan at the drop of a hat if they really wanted to.

At the end of the day all China is, is a more sophisticated North Korea run by a flog trying to bully and dominate the rest of the world. What state was China in at the end of WWII? They got a bloody short memory.

The western world saves their ass from Japan and Germany and allows them to flourish and then they get cocky as they build a super military. You think the rest of the world is fooled and intimidated by them? No different to bikie gangs these cunts. Hero’s as long as they’ve got the numbers and a gun in their hand and love to intimidate.

Economies like Australia should look to be less reliant on China economically and say fuck you. And I don’t believe for one minute all is rosy with the Chinese economy and that’s why they are so desperate to dominate world trade.
