I see there were posts on PHAW where people who arnt opposed to Roe 8 bragged about "setting the hippies up".

Looks like both sides have worked out how to play dirty.

Plus you gotta feel for the residents in the clearing area with all that asbestos dust flying around. Even minimal chance of exposure would be enough for me to pack the kids up and move house.

Setting traps is an absolute disgrace and anyone doing so should be charged.

The Asbestos is a real worry, there are several residents with young families who live across the road with fine mulched dust blowing over them.

City of Cockburn has asked for works to stop for assessment, but seem to be ignored.

it could be projections calculate that only 10% of traffic on PFL will be heavy vehicles heading for the port...the rest commuter traffic so maybe it's more about alleviating light vehicle congestion than anything. all I know is that the ferals stringing wire between trees down at Beeliar is not doing themselves any favours.

Agree, mate but from my reading of it and what I am getting from Cottesloe and Mosman Park Town Councils is that once the increased heavy traffic flows through from Roe 8 and 9 into Stirling Hwy over the bridge and onto Tydeman Street congestion will be even worse as no works at all will be done to cope with the increased traffic, its already a bloody shambles there, I was at the lights cnr of Tydeman and Queen Vic St last night coming home from Gym and bloody hell mate, it was about 5.45pm and in the space of 10 seconds I counted 10 Semis, go past Containers , Cattle Trucks , Fuel. They reckon they have more capacity there by about 50% , where I have no idea. They want to widen Curtin Ave to make it a freight link up North West Coastal Hwy, at the same time develop Leighton and Port Beach at a luxury beachside residential apartment area with container trucks thundering past! a few weeks ago a fully loaded Semi flipped over behind North Freo Train Station taking the bend, good luck with that.

I see the real story came out in regard to that bum who reckoned he was trampled by a horse yesterday...apparently he was moved away from the fence line and as soon as the horses approached he moved back down to the fence and sat himself down in front of them...asked for all he got for mine....I only hope the horse was vaccinated.

I'm shocked Swan 42 has not weighed into the Roe 8 discussion a lot more with his usual anti liberal, anti Barnett tirade condemning the actions of Barnett. Is it possible he supports Roe 8 as a quicker way to get his 1972 VW Hippie Kombi from Bassendean to the coast?

nah mate...it's difficult to post on here when you're suspended 30 feet off the ground in a tree. mind you...from what I've seen of some of the protesters they look right at home up a tree. ;-)
