BH I have to take exception at your extremely understated figure. Most assuredly the compensation that should be payable for any WAFL (yes even Subiaco) or SANFL or Tassie club should be starting at least in the vicinity of $350,000 per player for each year that player plays for Essendon.

On another note 42 we have both been highly critical of the WAFC in the recent past but it is now evident their Victorian based equivalent running the supposed elite comp have made them look like geniuses of late!!

I think a significant part of the problem subsequent to the initial doping was due to the arrogance of the Essendon Football Club, James Hird and others, and the AFL. Unfortunately for them, the AFL and Victoria is NOT the centre of the universe and no matter what happened at the AFL tribunal it would carry no weight once WADA appealed and it went to the CAS.

I believe that I expected in the final analysis that the players would get 2 years. As for James Hird he has done irreparable damage to his reputation and at some point I would expect jim to issue his mea culpa but it will be too little and too late by then.

I think that there will be significant litigation and the damages to be paid will be in the order of 20 to 40 million dollars.

I agree Spike mad big statements that Kyle was disgruntled by being de listed and it is all not true. I hope he apologises to Kyle one day.

Also Hird and Essondon denied that what the Weapon was saying was true. Now it happens to be correct. Hird said anything to make me look better. Anything it takes. He also said it was a miscarriage of justice. The only miscarriage is he is not in the clink. I hope they sue the crap out of him.

I think David King suggested that the players should come from the current AFL rookies. Whilst I don't think he was particularly concerned about the possible impact on the WAFL or SANFL I agree with his sentiment that it should be resolved wihin the AFL.

One positive is at least 12 new players will get a chance to play on ANZAC day. However will the AFL look at changing Essendon from that day? Surely a Richmond v Collingwood game would always bring a huge crowd. They could go with one of the low supported teams as they know they will always get 90k at the ANZAC match.
