She received just under 3 million $ from reports. The guy  (as yet) not been given any pay out at the time of writing.
Apparently Higgins given the payment for loss of previous/ and or future earnings, and mental stresses. Haven't heard of lehrman's progression in the matter. The news report saying they will be attending the civil courts in relation to the case.

Really outrageous if it was that sort of money and you can see what her motivation was and why the ALP was so happy to hand the money over for a job well done, borderline fraud in my books.

I'm sure some of you have daughters. If a daughter of yours went out for drinks after work with a male colleague and had 1 or 2 too many and was struggling to stand up by herself, would you be happy knowing that male work colleague took her back to the office, or would you rather he sent her home in a taxi? 

I'm sure you would think highly of the fella for sending her home in a taxi.

DD you are in the same boat as anyone else in this matter, we don't know any of the details of what happened. Did Ms Higgins refuse a taxi ride, did she ask to be left to sleep it off, did Mr Lehrman do anything at all? No one knows and any assumptions on the matter are just that. The automatic assumption of guilt assigned to either party is one of the horrendous aspects of the woke and me2 brigades campaigns that will, without doubt destroy many lives in the coming years if it's not held to account.

That sounds naive like what a defence lawyer would say in trying to get his client acquitted SS. But we are each entitled to our own opinion. I'll leave it at that.

Really got SFA to do with it but Nup, she's not a kid and she did actually get up and walk to the office herself anyway and there was security present in the building , mate she wasnt abducted, and you sound a bit sexist anyway saying that women cant make own decisions and should be chucked in a taxi and sent home.

You and I must have read different versions of events. I seem to recall that she needed help to stand up and she fell asleep on a sofa and woke up naked. Yep sounds logical she would go back to the office, get her kit off and take a nap on the sofa. 

It's well known women can't handle their liquor and any bloke looking for a root might take advantage of that.

How did she end up naked on the sofa? Did she remove all her clothes before sleeping or did someone remove her clothes after she passed out (Fell Asleep)?

If no one knows the answer to that, how do we know if she was raped or if something else happened.

Lol I'll let you work it out Sherlock. A young woman who travels with a senior minister has got herself plastered and returns to the office unassisted, strips off and takes a nap on a sofa in the minister's office?
