When does the emergency laws to manage the COVID pandemic that was passed by the WA Parliament in 2020 expire? If McGowan wins a majority in the upper house next month does that mean we will continue to live in this continual police/emergency state?

they can only extend them for so many weeks each time, so it can carry on forever if Mcgowan wants them to, my real concern is that he will start using this BS to control the economy for years.

Is there a journalist in this state who can ask the obvious questions - why did it take 21 days to implement the national cabinet decision on daily testing of hotel quarantine workers and why has it taken months to develop a position on secondary employment for hotel security?

and there's 2 more questions I'd like asked as well Daz...why are security guards handing out medication to known infected persons and not medical staff? and if there is valid reason of which I can't think of any, why the hell aren't they fitted out in full ppe when doing so?

I guess I'll have to pivot my small business since I'm not making anything this week, and maybe next week, who the fk would know. I was thinking of setting up a security company. I know a few subcontinentals from the local cricket club and they're good lads and know a few more so I've got a ready workforce at my disposal. They won't expect to get paid much, which seems industry standard. Probably won't need to train them either just wind them up and point them in the right direction. Maybe I'll give Roger a call and see if he can send some of the $90m my way?

If that doesn't work maybe I'll set up a childcare centre. Or maybe be a provider to the NDIS.

Anywhere there is a sniff of government money, that's where I want to be. Beats making your own dollars.

BC why the fuck would it even be necessary to “hand it” directly to infected hotel guests? FFS just put it on a trolley, knock on the door and leave the trolley outside the door and walk away at least 10 metres. After the guest has taken the meds or food, whatever it is, take the trolley away, with gloves on and other PPE and immediately sanitise the trolley. Not that fucken hard is it?

Anyone else noticing the complete inconsistency and at times complete reversal?

For example the massive drive to wash hands from the first lock down has completely disappeared, remember we were told that was critical and wearing of face masks didnt really work and wasnt necessary, fast forward and thats all been flipped.

So now he has 2 million in masks, including some out right ludicrous requirements of wearing a mask while standing walking or running in the middle of an oval all alone with no person around, remember first lock down, outdoors in open space the virus didn't spread and was safe.

Yet they couldn't have the critical front line staff in an quarantine hotel in a face mask.

Yep Child Care and NDIS, PinK Batts, COVID building subsidies you name it its a license to grab massive bucks.
