1700 aboard, 270 suspected COVID cases on board...

Apparently desperate to dock in Fremantle.

What a nightmare.

Just watched a Sneakers broadcast on ABC, that cruise ship will not be permitted to dock or disembark, All, o'seas passengers so no locals so no need to disembark. Over 450 cases on board, at last Sneakers has sprung into action. State gone to Stage 1 response, all pubs clubs, casino and the like, churches and other organisations with mass gatherings must close, schools still open but those that can look after kids at home to do so and online education support being made available. 20 new cases today,6 from that Sydney cruise ship, but appears all tracked down and chasing any contacts, currently 12 cases have required hospitalisation, just 2 critical so far.

Late action but at least it's happening.

They might have to keep it anchored in Gage Roads, its a old style diseased ship.

The vessel could be docking as early as tonight is the latest news.
No Aussies on board apparently.
Help will need to be given for those 270 in need, as upper respiratory illnesses have been reported. I would imagine crew and passengers will be banned from disembarkation. The state government will probably employ a medical team to go aboard when the vessel ties up.

MSC are saying no-one is sick and it's calling in for fuel only with no passengers disembarking and then heading off to Dubai. I'm not sure who to believe.

NSW police issued a statement that they will not be pulling over motorists due to their fears about catching it - so now the maggots are free to do anything they like because the cops can't or won't do anything

It's just a state totally out of any form of governance or order - and inexplicably their borders are wide open

Hence why the other states are shutting them out entirely

Whoever made that decision to allow passengers off before test results were known should be held accountable and potential criminal charges considered.
