As from tomorrow mass gatherings over 500 are banned, not a recommendation. Banned, written into state law. This is going to cripple the economy. Imagine a place like Crown Casino. I can imagine they might close the casino altogether because it will be too hard to monitor how many are inside at any one time, there are several ways to enter the casino and even if they could they would run at a loss opening everything for 500 patrons.

That’s going to be devastating for those employee’s. I reckon even pubs, clubs and restaurants that cater for significantly less will suffer. Jesus christ this thing has turned into Godzilla.

Italy had to do that because they did very little in the beginning to head it off, so are now paying the price with over 2000 deaths and the whole country effectively closed down. Act early and slow the progression so that allows the health system to cope.

I'm sure I read somewhere this morning there has been 400 deaths in Italy in the last 24 hours from Covid19.

Yep...China's infection rate is slightly north of 50 per million....Italy's is 400.

I wonder if there is a ethnic link, are non asians more vulnerable? Not sure but iits possible I guess.

Seems like China are coming out the other end, but can we trust their figures, they seem to make it up as they go, always trying (lying) to save face. Their total lack of proper animal health controls allow these wild animal meat markets to exist and that's where it all started.
