As expected, official Anzac Day services have been cancelled in WA. Official services in other states may be cancelled also but no definite news as yet.

Yep wise move, I thought a few days ago that a live broadcast of Dawn Service with a small group only would be fine.

I also heard the cathedrals will be closed for Easter.

ABC news just mentioned that Tom Hanks has been cleared of the virus and released from hospital, that's a pretty quick result for a man in his 60's and encouraging news for a change.

On another thing, my daughter is a pharmacist in Adelaide, has had some health issues recently, has rhumatoid artheritis and some mild lung issues, recently got back from the T20 final in Melbourne and has cold/flu symptoms. She phoned the Doc's and was refused a virus test. PMD if she doesn't qualify for a test who does!! She's a front line health professional dealing with people who come in with health issues so would think she would be near the head of the queue. She's done the right thing and isolated herself for 2 weeks. Maybe if she was an AFL player with the sniffles, like Scott Pendelbury, she would have been rushed to the nearest emergency dept for a test. BTW, happy to hear that Pendals is clear of the virus.

I feel for your daughter in 2 ways Senior. I have rheumatoid arthritis, so I know what the poor girl is going through. Secondly, you’ve got to wonder who has made themselves God and decides who will get tested and who won’t. I think we are going to need all the medical experts we can get. They must be looked after.

Been a lot said about closing schools and the concerns that working parents, particularly those in the health sector would have to stay home to look after the kids which is why the Govt is against closing schools. Seems it's one extreme or the other, leave schools open with the obvious transmission issues or ask all parents not in the workforce or in key jobs to take the kids out of school, that means the school population will be significantly reduced, allowing better separation and smaller classroom groups plus plenty of spare teacher numbers to cover any who get infected. Seems a realistic middle ground approach.

The missus couldn’t find any sanitiser anywhere, so she googled up how to make it on the Healthline site. She made a batch up yesterday. 3 ingredients, easy to make. There’s a comment on the site that states it will kill Coronavirus.

Fantastic to hear they have recovered. Heard on the news that Tom and his wife have now safely made it back home.
