Back again for another week and MrM does hope that some people read this one, I was very disheartened to hear that some people did not think that MrM had bothered to do a write up last week. Please note MrM will always do a write up, rain hail or shine MrM will be here. Would love to hear some people’s thoughts on last weekend’s games though or even this weekend. MrM will manage to do a full writeup next week, as this week MrM is on the express, so will be arriving sooner rather than later. Interesting to hear of unrest at a club during the week over selection drama yet again, it does not bode well either when supporters are openly complaining during the game, but we shall talk about that later.
This weekend is looking amazing, so let us have a preview into one game only and I once again promise 3 next week.

Preliminary Final
Wanneroo v West Coast @Wanneroo Showgrounds

MrM knows where he will be Saturday and I am sure there will be many an interested onlooker heading along to Wanneroo Showgrounds on Saturday afternoon as well. Last weekend Wanneroo were very wasteful in front of goal and squandering opportunities that you would have expected them to convert and sadly they lost their way. They have earned themselves as second chance though and will know at home with a big crowd they will be excited to see what they can do. On the flip side West Coast rebounded form, the previous week defeat and managed a fantastic win over very good opposition in wonderfully splendid jumpers. They would want another showing with Bassendean and standing in front of them is a big contender in Wanneroo. Both sides have played very good football throughout the season, but at home, I think Wanneroo get it done. Wanneroo by 2 goals

Good luck to all. Could someone please reserve MrM a Perth Football League Awards Night ticket. MrM has failed to secure one and would love to attend. Thank you.

Well its an exciting time of year for those teams still remaining! All teams that make it this far deserve to be there and that should result in some close games this weekend.

The Roos to have a win here. They've been arguably the best team all year and will be smarting over last week's thumping. West Coast will be nervous not to be the bridesmaid yet again for the third year in a row if I'm not mistaken. Sadly for them, I think they will be.

You'd think that Whitfords should win the ressies final. Sometimes its not such a bad thing to play each final as momentum can be the difference in the big one - I dont think theyd mind the hit out. But wouldn't it be a disaster for them if they went out in straight sets....

Swan Athletic who are generally always pretty strong with two colts teams are my tip to beat Mt Lawley who also seem to feature in the Colts finals series a bit.

Enjoy the weekend ahead.

Wanneroo going down by 2 points, had their chances were 20 points up at one stage. Some poor umpiring in the last quarter, not stopping the clock quick enough for some injuries, the one closest to the siren, the player looked like he was badly injured then walked off after the siren. Umpire should have stopped the clock.

There’s no time off in WA ammo football.
Dumbest rule going around, nearly every other league has it but the PFL are backwards.

Unlucky Wanneroo, out in straight sets. Great atmosphere with the music after every goal.  Young side, did they get ahead of themselves? Hard to say, MM will no doubt have a humble response. They would be filthy though.

Stayed until half time and West Coast looked no where near it. Genuinely surprised when the result came through.

Basso to thump WC next week.

There is time off for a serious injury, im sure players are told to milk it if the game is close, ball was in wanneroo forward line when the player went down, cost a bit of time, a minute after the siren the player walked off

Perhaps Wanneroo should have got a stretcher out then. They couldn’t even manage ice so perhaps a stretcher was beyond them.

Yeah from my view at the ground, it seemed the umpires failed to grasp the urgency of calling time on.  It seemed bizarre that in the first incident involving the injured West Coast player with about 5 minutes to play for the field umpire to jog the width of the ground to ask for the click to stop.  It seemed as thought a good 2 minutes were lost from the player going down and umpire calling time on.

And in the second incident having no further play with 45 seconds left  in a 2 point game was strange.

Wanneroo were 20 points plus up on their way too a grade, umps were good all day.

Bit rich blaming umps after going out in straight sets after being the best team all year.

The Wanneroo crowd calling for Heals' head after halftime was a bit premature.
