Yep, that is right on the money I reckon. He's there to bowl and he's a free throw on the batting because so far what we've put up in the lower order has been average. So the selectors have effectively said that 5 and 6 are now up for grabs for the summer and blokes like Kurtis Patterson need to get their skates on and get some runs in the early Shield games to pinch one of those spots.

Reckon Wade will go out of the 12 & Siddle in.. Eases the load on the bowlers..

What is wrong with the selectors? Piddle couldn't get me out. He's taken a couple of fortuitous caught and bowled but at 80 miles an hour he's not going to trouble test batsmen....in saying that he might trouble the pommy middle order as they're not test quality but why either Starc or Pattinson are not playing is crazy..and don't get me started on the decision to bowl.

Think Aust would of taken that at the start of the day....though at 8/227 perhaps not....though Leach did spare Aust openers a potentially difficult batting experience before stumps.... well played Chris Rogers.... oops Jack Leach.

Thought Siddle playing would mean he would be doing most of the donkey work, considering he is a donkey....not the two thoroughbreds in Hazlewood and Cummins....Lyon only bowling 4 overs?....obviously not fit....some bizarre selections by JL et al...only way it will come off if Aust(Smith) can bat for 2 days.....get a lead of 200 plus....and let Siddle loose in his farewell test....

well bowled Mitch Marsh too.... though had to laugh when Marsh had cramp after 16 overs...and Cummins came on to finish his over, who by the way has bowled non stop for 5 tests without a single niggle....seriously Mitch?
