What you are asking the west to do is to take sales cuts so that you minority are happy? haha get off your high horse fellas.

Would the West swap a piece on Tiger Woods winning the Players Championship because Rummy won the Chinese Open?

Or maybe WCE get more coverage because they are actually a successful club? Bet you guys were the same ones whinging when Freo would get bad publicity back when they were cellar dwellers.

I agree Soprano. The surprising thing on this thread though, is the amount of people that have been forced into reading The West!! It's not rocket science is it? If you don't like it, DON'T READ IT. Simple solution really. Or is it just another avenue to bag the Coasters.

Maybe just maybe Nic Bat will be the season saviour for West Coast. So I can see why the West want to put their trust in him to deliver the goods for the state. Unfortunately we all don't see the same realistic outcome here back end of 2013.

kirbs wrote: That last paragraph is total crap, I hope you are not the same imbecile on ABC radio from Saturday that reckons that the AFL victimised the WCE over Cousins and nothing will happen too Essendon because they are a Victorian club.

How is it crap? It happens all around the world, the more successful club gets more medis exposure because they are 1) more successful and 2) have a larger fan base. Just look at the EPL, Liverpool get a lot more exposure than Tottenham.....it is a business remember!!

The Cousins issue is a complete different story, a lot of people will say the afl hung him out to dry, but hey its the afls rules so be it. But when there is other AFL players, namely from a Victorian club (libba jnr) who was actually caught with illegal drugs and was passed out on a street, i do not see how that incident is not bringing the game into disrepute like cousins? There have been other cases as well (michael johnson) and what do they get? A slap on the wrist and councelling.....

Whatever you do Soprano don't sheet home the blame to where it lies: the Eagles were completely aware of what was going on with respect to Cousins. Their selection or non-selection of Cousins did not require the same onus of proof as in a criminal case. Worsfold could quite easily have told Cousins you wil be playing at East Freo until you tidy up your act. He is a qualified pharmacist and should have been intimately aware of the dangers of long term drug use.

He and the Eagles chose not to because it was immediately affecting his playing and could not have cared less about his long term health. I am certainly not saying that if Worsfold had dropped Cousins it would not have continued down the same path. What I am saying it might have provided the incentive for Cousins to change his own behaviour.

I see Nicnat has come to Majak Daws rescue according to The West and Channel 7 overnight.

Bless him.

They may have been listening to the feedback. They were very much more focused on the Dockers victory over Collingwood rather than the Eagles mediocre effort in Brisbane. Great picture of Michael Walters on the cover of 'The Game'

It's just not fair Mike....the Dockers getting all the coverage and the Eagles getting b all :( I'm sick of seeing the purple splashed all over The West....just downright unfair!

:cheer: To be honest Shark, I would have rather seen our WAFL boys splashed all over the paper for their fantastic achievement in beating the big V for the first time in 22 years!

With you there Mike. If only today's young'uns could have seen those epic battles WA v VFL in the 80's. I went to a couple an have honestly never been to a game since, that had the same electric atmosphere.

I'm not in Oz atm, but good to hear the future Brownlow medallist is back on the front page ;)
