Not a pretty game, but a win is a win. Great to see that Yeo came out on top of the battle with Fyffe. There will be some pretty sore boys for the next few days. Port and Richmond would have loved seeing our 2 teams knocking the crap out of one another. One thing for sure, the comp will strart respecting both WA clubsin the future.....except for that fat prick with the big gob!!

58S for the RECORD I watched under 5 minutes of the game in total. It is remarkable how you could make such a claim when you have absolutely no basis for that assertion. Perhaps in addition to not make UNSUBSTANTIATED claims you could perhaps refrain from such personal abuse.

Anyway great Derby,not a bad win from a team predicted to finish outside the 8.

I thought Darling was probably the best fiorward on the ground Gaff and Shuey were very good and the intercept marking by Hurn and McGovern stopped many Freo forward thrusts.
Scott Lycett was fantastic in the ruck,was the best big man on the ground.
Freo definitely unlucky to lose Walters early but thems the breaks.
The Eagles do need to convert more with so many inside 50’s.
All in all great Derby and the better team won .

I have never been a Fremantle Football Club member. NOT EVER. I certainly supported Freo BEFORE the host club alignment and I certainly would want Freo to beat the Eagles every time they play. However, you unequivocally asserted that I watched the game. You were WRONG.

Was a great start to Western Derby's at Optus Stadium.The game had so many momentum swings and Freo where so unlucky to lose Mickey W.One thing that will be remembered about the last couple of WDerbys for a long time to come.Will be the performance's of the two outstanding Eagles defenders Hurn+McGovern. Brilliant again in another Western Derby.

Would love to know how Dean Margetts is allowed to umpire west coast each week.. He is rediculously biased towards the WA sides and in particular the eagles.

Darling made me eat my words today - he couldn't have been that far off the RG medal. I thought that Lycett played his best ever game for the Eagles today. Also, a mention for Matthew Pavlich, he turned my opinion today as I though he was a very unbiased and incisive commentator.
