WTF? Trade period over and Fremantle got nothing.

Wilson will be a real asset and probably slot into the team in a similar role to what Weller was undertaking. He is a better player than Weller though. It will be interesting to see if the Weller deal gets done. Dockers are holding out for a top 5 pick.

I thought trade period ended 11am esdt? So is something going to be done to get Matera? I'm really excited about Matera TBH. I think he's a real natural goal kicker and he's got genuine speed.

11am Perth time DD so just under 2 hours to go. The Jake Stringer deal about to go through,with him signing for Essendon. Nothing on Matera to this stage..

We have to be realistic about Weller or we will end up like GWS when they knocked back our initial offer for McCarthy. Can't remember exactly what it was but I think it included our first rounder this year which is pick 5. He ended up costing us a lot less.

DD if Weller doesn't want to be at Freo.Why would the club want to keep him there.Your right take the trade and move on.

Yet to be confirmed but it looks like the Weller deal has been done with the Dockers getting Matera and Pick 2. Overall a momentous morning with Ablett back at Geelong, Hodge to Brisbane, Stringer to Essendon and Gibbs to Adelaide to mention a few.

The Weller trade now confirmed, a massive win for the Dockers there I reckon. I cannot believe Gold Coast gave up pick 2 for a player who is serviceable at best.

Matera is in exchange for a 2018 third-round selection.

pick No.41 to Suns as part of the Weller move.

Picks 2 and 5 in next months draft gives the Dockers a real chance to stock up with the best young talent.
