Ross was going ape in the box, can't blame him. Considering the outs for Eagles, I didn't give them a chance. That first quarter was similar to what Richmond did to them at Subiaco. It was a gutsy win by the Eagles.

Yep, half asleep in the first half, mentioned on PR this morning the Lyon wasnt that bothered with winning the game with a view to try and keep hawks 3rd.

I think your trying to get a rise out of a few Bazza :P you stirring mongrel .
If Freo didn't want to win, they strangely fought hard to get back in it?
I've never ever seen a top side / or a premiership lined side accept a loss. That is playing with form and fire. If that was actually the case, Freo won't have a hope in hell of winning a flag even with a double chance. But I think that's garbage, Freo are as good a shot as any. They simply got outgunned on the day.

North should be as desperate next week as the Eagles were today. It is a must win as we are not safe in the eight yet. If Zeibell gets rubbed out it will bloody hurt. He needs to pull his head out of his rear end that boy. Let's the team down with such a vital game coming up! We need to throw everything at the Dockers & make them second guess. Huge finals campaign coming up for Freo, time to put some doubts in their minds. I'm sure North know what is required .

On a side note it was good to see Williamson put in a good effort on Saturday to get promoted based on what I saw of the first quarter yesterday.

Why would Ross want Hawks to finish 3rd? Hawks would still play Eagles if Eagles hang onto second. NO COACH cares about another side.. This could be the closing of the window for Fremantle. The Eagles were well under manned & just stuck it up the purple haze..

Are Fremantle the worst 16-3 side in the history of football?

Sad to say but Fremantle can't win the flag. Haven't played like a side worthy of top of the table since about round 8 and lack killer instinct required to win a flag.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

good summation anchor. the toasters intensity was very good. i thought the maggots were inconsistent but don't think the lopsided free kick count cost us the game but it didn't help either. agree Hill was our best and I can't see us going too far into the finals based on recent form.

[qe="anchorman" post=76739]A lot being said around the place about the stupid and cowardly act by Silvagni, but few comments coming about the dog act of biting by Masten.[/quote]
I didn't find out about this till this morning and I was quite shocked by the allegation as it is not common in Aussie rules. If Masten is found guilty he deserves a multi week suspension. It was a very nasty game at times yesterday.

BC on a subject near and dear to my heart: 20 - 7 in the first half; 12 - 12 in the second half. Please explain. Also, can you try to explain how a team placed second can have a -91 differential in the season?

Not that hard to be intense when there is Zero on the other side, it was like they had been at Metro's nightclub the night before till 5am. Either that or somethng else was going on.

Your right though they wont be going to far like that in the finals if they play like that. Some how I dont think they will. Lyon has it worked out.

In saying that even if the Hawks are forced to Perth in the first week, they will still do the job on the dockers if needs be at the MCG on GF day.
