On the contrary. We must have a team called Melbourne in the true AFL. As there should be a team called Perth and I am not talking about the Perth Demons.

Further I would like to see North Melb and the Bulldogs survive for ever. Just not with their hands out and in the AFL
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

As for the EFFC position - where I live, all the news I get is the Swan Districts blurb. Would love to live closer to my club.

Opposite end of the spectrum for me being SD but living out Freo way. EF is not my club but might look in to the job being that its relevant to my profession & skillset. Being around a footy club is good for the soul so might be a nice career & lifestyle move. Will let you know how I go

Time for a real afl.
I have conceeded that there must be 7 Vic teams in the true afl. But surely north, the saints and footscray are back to the vfl.

15 teams left playing the other 14 teams twice for a 28 week home and away.

Atm there are 22 home and away with 9 games a week (3 of these with little interest at all)for a total of 198 home and away games a year.

15 teams playing the other 14 teams twice for a 28 week home and away season will see 196 home and away games a year. All with great interest.

Strong 2nd tier comp.

Surly people see the big picture

I am enjoying the comp. the way it is at the moment. I don't remember it being so close. From 7th to 13th was about 3 wins difference.
The future will probably be different when the Giants and Goldcoast start romping.
However I am not interested in what it costs the AFL to keep things running. I just want footy. I don't care if my team has to give some sort of luxury tax or extra cash to support other clubs. The price of a footy or two ain't that expensive.
I ain't no champagne supporter who thinks my team needs all the shiny new footy equipment, to get themselves pampered for football.

No he sounds like a realist which your not, your idea's regarding the AFL are pure fantasy or delusion which will never happen.

In this regard I have taken a romantic point of view, an objective one, rather than the classic subjective view. Maybe I'm a little bit fascist. The comp. is not running into debt therefore it's flying.
It seems to me Time For A Flag that you would be happier, even the comp. was dominated by a mere two teams and sixteen boring as watching paint dry teams, just so long as everyone is paying there way.
I believe you have taken your eye off the ball mate.
