Short of losing a Grand Final, I reckon losing a game when the opposition kicks a goal after the siren would have to be just about the worst thing in footy.
So, my heart goes out to Swans after yesterday's agonising loss, though full credit to East Freo and particularly Jackson McDonald (isn't there a legal company of that name?) for having the composure to kick accurately under extreme pressure.
As far as I know, there's no definitive list of WAFL games decided by a goal after the siren.
However, from an East Perth-centric viewpoint, I can recall three games at Leederville that came down to a kick after the bell (two went the right way and one didn't).
And all three goals came at the tech school (northern) end.
Round 17, 2018: Kyle Anderson took an absolute screamer just inside the boundary line in front of the scoreboard. And his kick after the siren from a difficult angle was equally as good as his mark, with the Royals winning by 3 points after the Demons had overcome a 26-point three-quarter-time deficit.
Round 12, 2012: Adam Prior (formerly on the Sydney Swans' list, I recall) marked 15-20m out directly in front and converted to give EP a one-point win over Claremont, having trailed by 15 points at the final change.
Round 10, 2004: Former Freo Docker Andrew Browne booted a long goal after the bell to give the Tigers a two-point win after the Royals led by 25 points at three-quarter-time.
I also recall Dean Buszan missing a set-shot after the siren from 25-30m out, on about a 45-degree angle, at Subiaco Oval in Round 2, 2002, with the Lions beating the Royals by a point.
I'd be very interested in other WAFL winning-goal occurrences.
Hopefully, Swans can use the hurt from yesterday's loss to beat Claremont next week.

Tom Edwards kicked one after the siren to win a match at Bassendean last year. Think it was against the Eagles. Then he missed one at Leederville against Subiaco, also last year.
Thanks for your kind thoughts ADGM, I think Swans supporters are a bit shell shocked as most of us thought we had it half way through the last quarter

Losing to a point after the final siren is not great either. Sharks lost a derby when Noel Carter scored a behind after the siren in 1983.

I was right behind Kade Lang when he kicked a bomb from 50 at Bassendean Oval after the siren to snatch a draw. Strange feeling being elated to snatch a draw. Would have been about 15 years ago I reckon.

Didn’t Swans kick a goal after the siren to win against us last year? Jarrod Cameron the goal kicker? From a free kick from memory.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

Yes DD a dubious free kick.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!

I do not know why (lower scores = closer games), but Swans have been involved in a few of these finishes in the last few years. Two last year (Cameron and Edwards securing victory) but the year before (or two?) we lost a game against Claremont at home with a kick after the siren. It's a long length of time, and there might have been others, but the only ones I can remember for Swans before last year were Maxie George at Leederville in 1974, and Bill Holmes at home in 1968 against EF.

I was a kid listening to this on the radio, very excited because it was the first victory I had experienced as a Swans supporter. I remember the commentators saying that Holmes had no chance of kicking it, then being amazed that it went through!  I was jumping around the house in joy. My dad said that I had better enjoy it because Swans would not win another game and he was right. Was a sliver of joy in a dire season.
Interesting to see the picture of Melrose. Little did he know then that he would be playing in a premiership team for Swans 14 years later!

From a Swans point of view I can think of a few this century and like Sunday we have been on the negative end of most and all but 1 at Bassensean-
2024- EF beat SD after the siren (McDonald)
2023- SD beat WCER after the siren (Edwards)
2023- SD beat P after the siren (Cameron)
2023- SD lost to SU (Edwards missed) Leederville Oval
2018 Claremont beat SD after the siren (Bolton)
2018 SD lost to SF after the siren (Josh Simpson missed)
2000 SD lost to SU after the siren (Piani missed)

I would say there was no more critical after the siren goal than the Alex Hamilton snap at lathlain park at the back end of the 1978 qualifying round season. Most if not all the after the siren goals documented here are from set shots, but theHamilton snap was in mid air en route to goal when the siren sounded, and was another chapter in the incredible last round were we won all seven matches,as well as the Marlboro cup, jumped from 5th to second after defeating our muncher friends in front of 24000 at Leederville in the penultimate qualifier, and then snatched the most dramatic flag in the history of the 140 year old WAFL competition.
