The battle for 4th and 5th spot is really hotting up as we get to the pointy end and IMO could look something like this.

Perth ( 32 points currently) - WCE (Loss), EF (Win) and Peel (Win) still to come I can see them finishing on 40 points.
WP (28) - EF (W), Cl (L), S (L), SF (L) - 32 points
Peel (24) - Cl (L), SF (L), SD (W), Pth (L) - 28 points
WCER (24) - SD (W), Pth (W), EP (W), EF (W) - 40 points

Based on the above, the 5 should look something like -

Subi
Claremont
SF
WCER by percentage
Perth


Both Peel and WP will need to win an extra game and more likely two depending on other results to have any chance. For mine, WCER are a danger with players returning to their seniors in Cripps, Duggan, Hutchins and possibly NicNat pushing others like Waterman, Cameron, Nelson and the like back down. So in my humble opinion it will be Cl v SF at Claremont Oval and P v WCER at Lathlain in the first week of finals. Thoughts please?

Pretty fair summary BC. As always, Peel and WC will depend on the health of their league teams. However, it doesn't seem likely that the Dockers will get many players back, so Peel may struggle as you suggest. That said, Perth never go well at Mandurah. I agree that, unfortunately, WC are likely to make it. Could be a very interesting last round. If things go as you predict, going into the last round Perth will be on 9 wins and WP on 8, but likely to have a better %. (unless they get pumped by Subi) So if WP beat SF in Joondalup and Perth lose to Peel, we could get tipped out in the final round. If so, we will certainly rue the 20% we lost in two games against Subi.

If that were to happen TN it would be a travesty as if any side deserves to play finals after all these years it's Perth. In saying that, the W L column doesn't lie so I guess if you're good enough you'll be there....if not there's always next year. Good luck

Perth v EF - EF own Perth. They Fucked us last year too.
Perth v Peel - Who knows. They smashed us with only 2 on the bench @ Lathlain earlier this year.

I remember years ago it seemed that Perth was our bogey side, but you’re right, EF have seemingly had the upper hand recently.
However, swings and roundabouts this one.
A stern test ahead for the Dees, but I really hope they make it deep into September. Unfortunately a GF appearance will be the best anyone can expect.

Its very interesting for certain. If WP can get over EF I believe we can beat CL and South.

Wishful thinking.West Coast have a lot better team then you credit.They have 14 west coast listed players in the team and possibly 2-3 to be dropped back who are not needed as emergencies.If swans win it won't be because west coast have a weakened side it will have to be that swans play out of their skin.
