Perth were certainly kissed on the "head" with those 2 wins for Cl and SD at the death....reminiscent of Eng and their review successes in the first test....tho Perth really do deserve finals footy and can't believe folk are throwing up all these permutations..... I guess if there was one side who could stuff it up from here...... it probably would be Perth.....thus understand the Perth fans insecurities......wonder if it came down to the last round and percentage....do folk think WCE will stack their side v EF to get a finals spot?

Final five for me will be Sub Cl SF Perth WP.....

They had 16 Eagles players today BC including AFL Premiership players in Hutchings, Duggan & Vardy...they were hardly down on personnel and a fair bit stronger than the side you smashed last week!

gotta laugh when you include duggan.should have have just stuck with the they had 16 west coast players.

Did he not play?
Not our problem he got injured again WCE were probably thinking he would have a nice soft run around vs SD.

it was a good win but to paint it a better win then subi is a bit rich and the swans way.duggan plays 15 minutes and brander a half.you got a bit of luck going your way.i suspect that if both played full games the result would have been different

Who was trying to paint it as a better win then Subi's?
Just mentioned it was a stronger Eagles line up yesterday then they had last week as BC had commented WCE were down on personnel which was incorrect looking at the calibre on the park yesterday not too mention a poorly performing SD they came up against but whatever floats your boat!

BC wrote: Well....the win by Swans today changes the complexion of the top 5 a little bit but still think WCER has a good enough run home to push WP or Perth out of the equation but it does give both of them a little bit of breathing room.

Perth (32 points currently) - WCE (Loss), EF (Win) and Peel (Win) still to come I can see them finishing on 40 points.
WP (32) - Cl (L), S (L), SF (L) - 32 points
Peel (24) - SF (L), SD (W), Pth (L) - 28 points
WCER (24) - Pth (W), EP (W), EF (W) - 36 points

WP will need to win at least one of the remaining games to be safe and if Perth beat WCER next weekend then they will be ok as well. If they lose, their terrible percentage means they'll need to win their remaining two if WCER doesn't drop any against EP and EF.

Perth only have to win one game from here. Even if WC win their last 3. Not saying I only want them to win one but that is all they have to do. I am not particularly confident. Saying all this I would much prefer to win 2 and finish 4th to play WP at Lathlain in the first elimination final. Sure I don't like WP with their long pockets and short arms but it would garner more interest than Perth v WC in the final.

BC's predictions are what you would think would pan out but the form lines are at the opposite spectrum. My boys have won 8 from 11, I would be very surprised if we didn't win another game regardless the run home. WCE have just been dicked by Swans so they are a bit off, beating Perth, EP or EF are no easy picking either. Perth's last 11 games have yielded only 3 wins, can't see Perth beating Peel but could get 4 points from both WCE and EF. Anyway it is going to be a blinder finish regardless, the WP v SF and P v Peel last round will decide who finishes where.

Not so TFaF. If Perth only win one more and WCER win all three they'll be on equal points (36) but the Eagles have a better percentage. It's only 3% so that could all change but that's how it is at present.

Sorry I stand corrected BC
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

No worry's mate...I just hope you beat them next weekend and that'll put an end to their finals campaign as they won't be able to push out WP either.

Hmmm the ever reliable WAFL site stats I could have swore he had a couple of possessions in the 1st qtr he was involved a bit then I see he even had an inside 50 so not sure how you do that without having a disposal???

Yes I saw that too BH...maybe he tapped it inside 50 or something similar but it's very odd.

Could of tapped the ball over the 50 line BH for that inside 50 stat.....I guess with two rotations down after half time....and a few ammo boys playing like Reid, Flint etc not a bad effort by WCE to come from 4-5 goals down to get headed in the latter stages of the last quarter....but then again in SD current losing streak well done them for getting their noses back in front after being headed in the last....
