There are other good coaches out there but Earl is experienced, has had success wherever he goes and has this squad together under him for a while now. Now I know you can say what has he done with it, and fair enough, but one thing PFC hasn't had for a while is a coach who has held the locker room together and with him for long enough. Earl has done that and this year is the year it bears fruit.

....and if it doesn’t bear fruit this year I’d suggest Earl will be under the pump to continue on as coach.

If it is not finals this year he would only want to miss by %, by the end of 2019 it will be 5 seasons as senior coach and it starts to get hard to get an extension without a finals appearance in those 5 seasons.

Yep 5 years is plenty of time to get a team to play finals imo.

The new regime will have expectations.
As they have said we have been shit for far too long.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!

So early to make any reasonable judgement, will have a better idea after round 9 is completed.
1. Subi
2. Cl
3. EF
4. Peelmantle
5. SF
6. Perth
7. SD
8. EP
9. Joondy
10. WCR

If as most believe, Subi will make another GF, I think it's between Peelmantle and the Monts for the other spot.

I believe that 4 teams should make the finals they being ;;
Subi but I don't think they will be undefeated how many games they will lose I don't know
hopefully in round2
CL
Peel should return to finals action but could depend on how many injuries Fremantle have
SF could drop down a bit but still should the finals
so that leaves six sides fighting for the last spot
hopefully my side EF has a better season and it will be interesting to see if Perth can build on their improvement
of last season will George Hampson make Swans a better team
I think WP may slide a bit how will EP fare now they don't have Eagles players and how will the Eagles
WAFL side go.
All in all looks like a interesting season coming up roll on the 6th of April

TAB has West Coast winning the premiership at $8. Does this mean all West Coast games will be counted?
