you go there 3 times a week to watch footy ?
terrible ground for supporters - no shade in summer or protection in winter..
they dont open the clubhouse for the colts game to go inside and watch if its raining..
not sure what you are talking about Bazza..

I use the facilities there for other reasons, and when I attended a game there I had no problems at all that you mention.

Obvious a deal has been brokered between the WAFC , AFL #2 & Mandurah , that operation will continue because it's easy & convenient to an end , and besides , it'd cause severe arse bleeds for the WAFC to suddenly be saddled with the old abortion back on it's hands
It'll be a League only 10 team - 18 game a year deal

The redeveloped Claremont Oval for spectators is actually worse than what it was previous.
There is absolutely no shade or shelter in the outer at all (at least they had some sheds before).
The new stand maybe new but the design is horrible as the roof is nowhere near big enough as the sun beams straight onto the spectators in the morning for the Colts and early Reserves and doesn’t shelter from the rain either other than the back walkway and maybe back row of seats.
The change rooms were nothing special either for a new facility as 42 has said Royalty For Regions Rushton Park leaves it for dead in all aspects.
Would be interested in TOOs thoughts as one of the few loyal Tigers supporters actively on ozfooty?

Bazza one wonders whether it was either a sunny day or a wet day when you attended this alleged footy match. If it was on a wet day and you didn't get wet one can only assume that you are indeed blessed because for us mere mortals attending a game at Claremont Oval on a wet day would result in getting wet.

From what I was told by Claremont supporters is that they ran out of money and had to reduce the size of the roof to such an extent it serves no useful purpose.

Perhaps you might like to compare and contrast the "Centre of Excellence" venue at Leederville as well?

Whenever I go Claremont I have always watched the game from the Members Bar area, thoroughly enjoyable as well. Completely craps on Bassendean as a facility and business case. For a average crowd of 1300 most games of the year its more than adequate.

The WAFC will do what ever the dockers want, if they want a stand alone they will get it, Peel are a nothing in the scheme of things, ideally the dockers would fully merge them, play games away and the complex down at Mandurah handed over to the local mobs, Mandurah Bulls or what ever they are or where.

One of the reasons for that is the redevelopment was mainly concentrating on developing the land for housing. Which is fantastic for people lucky enough to purchase a unit. Little thought was probably given to crowds attending the Wafl match. I've only seen pictures of the new Claremont grandstand and it doesn't look right. As officialdom tell you, not many attend games nowadays, and that's another reason it wasn't high on the priority.

Can you please advise me where this so called Centre of Excellence is , its purported to be at Leederville oval, but all I see is a modified Leederville oval, with a wood chip hill and a tendency for the playing surface to flood at even average rain, and a score board that I need bi nocs to read.
