The dorkers are no doubt looking upon all this with interest. Won't surprise if they ask for their own side too. Then it'll be right back to 2012 and history repeated as you said chaddy, and back with the 9 presidents.

or conversely a WCE reserves side could play at Lathlain on the weekends Perth plays away and make a few extra $ for the Dees over the bar etc.

Yep, agree BC, make most sense to play at Latho for mine, they have two oval there anyway, better still share new facilities cut costs and laugh all the way to the bank.

who's going to man the gates.who gets the money for food and drinks.no like the idea that eagles will have to play away gives all other clubs a extra home game.

Easy...Perth.

They already have one, Peel are just a Ghost Club nobody cares about, as I said in my previous post, time to drop the façade go for a full take over and call them them the dockers, hand over the facility at Mandurah to the local clubs ( bulls or whatever they are called) and play Dockers WAFL games at Cockburn.

mikeh wrote: I think the Eagles stand alone side is the least worst of the realistic options. Then as WAG said we don't stuff up another traditional WAFL club. Have a look at how the Adelaide Crows have set up their team in the SANFL and use that as a model. They are not going to go back to the pre alignment scenario and unfortunately the WAFL is not a strong or financially viable enough competition any more that they can just tell the AFL clubs to go stuff themselves.

All of this is predicated on the gutless WAFC that has no interest in the WAFL. If they weren't so lily livered cowards they would realise that as the owners of the two WA domiciled AFL licences they could ensure that the two WA domiciled AFL teams pay sufficient funds to ensure the viability of the WAFL clubs and make decisions that ACTUALLY BENEFIT the long term viability of the WAFL.

To quote Bazza the Eagls have $50 million in the bank; so it is patent nonsense to argue that the WAFC could get the revenue from the two WA domiciled AFL teams to ensure the viability of the WAFL. It is just that the WAFC don't want to.

Bazza wrote: The WAFL will be totally finished if the AFL form a reserves comp, not only all the money that the WAFL is reliant on but about 25% of the players as well. The doors would close.

A stand alone team probably is the best Chad22, but will they get that up and running in less than 12 months? it's the WCE preferred model apparently, but the WAFL clubs don't want it, there were 3 clubs that expressed an interest in the alignment last time, there will be one or two interested now.

Which clubs would they have been Bazza?

Yes, its a pity all the trees had to go, but the surface looks much better, no idea why the old stand is left behind I thought was supposed to be go replaced with a new pavillion, it looks like a bit of a tip compared to the rest of the ground. When is the eagles complex due for completion?

Don't know and care even less.

My point is that there is only one oval there where any spectators would be bale to watch a game.
