I say anybody can coach a team like that at their disposal Percy.

He also added that it's an interesting comp.
Take out Subi and then it will be an EVEN comp Percy.

Subi should be the third team from WA to join the AFL.
They won't do much worse than hack teams like Carlton, St Kilda, Brisbane & Gold Coast.
Then we would go back to an eight team comp.

Biggest pile of horse shit I have ever heard. Unfortunately if Percy has had some interaction with any individual he claims a percentage of there credit, he has had an involvement with Schofield hence why he blows wind up his arse. I have said for a few years now, give Schofield the Perth FC and lets see how he goes, the theory of players wanting to go to where he is coaching will be proven to be horse shit as well.......

hahaha...jesus leedy...you on the angry pills mate? did the missus knock you back again? :P

I guess we'll never know astro as I can't see him coaching Perth any time soon.

Fully agree. There’s been a few “super coaches” that have left Subi then gone nowhere. Not one of them would have the balls to take on a side like Perth, or even East Freo.

Shark 58: that is true -- if you are a good coach and you have a good side, all things being equal, you should win the flag.

Coaches whom have won flags with weakish sides in recent times are:

Brad Smith
John Todd
Ken Armstrong
Haydn Bunton
Bill Monaghan
Ken Judge

Therefore, at the other end of the equation I would not rate the following:

Mal Brown
Graham Moss

Schofield would be mad to leave Subi for the AFL....only jobs going will be the Carlton or Collingwood jobs....perhaps Freo if Lyon decides to walk.....the first two are definitely not worth the grief....perhaps Watters can give him some advice.....

I think it's a certainty he'll go somewhere now he's sold his business and is currently full time at Subi....it just remains to be seen where. Freo would be a good fit as he could stay in WA with his family, an emerging list...a couple of years as an assistant to Lyon or even under Pike at Adelaide then parachute into the top job when they give Ross the Boss the flick.

What’s the track record of Subiaco premiership coaches that have tried their hand in the AFL........

Pretty average from memory.. Schofield will be no different. He has a number of flaws in his personality that are exposed under pressure. The problem so far is he hasn’t been under pressure enough as he has had the best list and an endless supply of funds and incentives to ensure success.

He was badly exposed in and after the last 2 GFs. His conduct should have been sanctioned by Subi admin and WAFC but they were too weak.

There’s no way he could go to Freo given the criticism he’s unloaded on the Freo/Peel alignment. Then again the guys morals are in the gutter so perhaps he would. Double standards?

I wonder how long a scurrilous comment like that would last on the Peel thread.
