And the goal .,and mark of the year give away prizes were outstanding, so much so they never existed...lol

Please explain why there were such great discrepancies in the number of times each club was broadcast. Aso, please explain explain why the South Freo vs Swans final wasn't broadcast.

Back a few years when it was just the final 4 the 1st and 2nd semi were both played on the same day so ABC would always cover the cut throat 1st semi. Now we have this final 5 and seems Ch 7 have spread the coverage so all teams get a broadcast in the early finals. SD v WP and SF v Peel were both broadcast being on different days, the next week both finals on the same day so they chose to broadcast the game involving a team that hadn't had finals coverage so far ie the SU v Peel game. That would have been their reasoning. IMHO it should always be the cut throat final that gets the coverage. I expect if the Ch7 sponsored east eagles were in finals they would have had all their games covered, just as they had the most home and away broadcasts.

SS the obvious would dictate that you would broadcast the elimination final. Maybe we should rename Bazza Ba77a!!!

I've got SFA to do with Ch 7 , in fact one of parents worked for the ABC for decades, nothings perfect but I have pointed the positives, i.e prize money for clubs and players that ABC could never do.
This nostalgic obsession with the ABC really has to end they are NEVER coming back to WAFL.

In the h&a matches Swans were shown TWICE; Perth 3 times. How many times were Peelmantle or "East Perth" shown? What WE CAN SAY is that everyone knew when and where to find the matches as opposed to the scheduling joke that was channel 7. Also,it didn't cost us $1,000,000.

Swan, the rain that fell for almost all of the ressies game, yes I was there, was torrential so that alone would have given plenty an excuse to stay home, anyway time to get off this crowd numbers thing, we all know the numbers have dropped substantially and that despite the alignment EP still had the best numbers so time to give it a rest and think about your new coach and what he will bring to the club, his CV sounds pretty good, but will find Swans a different environment financially from the enormously well funded Eagles backed EP environment .... but there will be all that Ducks passion to make up for it.

SS with due respect I am not going to let Bazza get away with his alternate facts. The official amount recorded by the BoM from 9 am until after the game finished was 5.6 mm from memory. I am also able to debate more than one issue at the same time.

With respect to Swans's new coach: he would be very aware of the situation at Swans including our supporter base.

Let me provide you with some unsolicited advice that you can take with a grain of salt if you like. If you are not interested in a topic, then don't read the posts.

Wtf are you going on about Swan , the weather was crap leading up to it, as SS states, he was THERE...talk about alternative facts - you are a full of it. 5 or 6 mil fell in massive downpour around lunch time.

TFAF you got a hell of a lot closer than Gavin Taylor et al at the WAFC. What was their minimum crowd EXPECTATION? Oh, that's right: 30,000

That statement was made BEFORE Peel qualified which killed any hope of that.

18k was a good turnout in the circumstance tbh.

Pure unadulterated crap. The GF was cheaper than the home and away games. Kids were free. The WAFC said 30,000 was their lowest attendance figure. Under 5 mm of rain from 9 am on the Sunday until after the GF finished. Last game at Subiaco. The figure was like everything the WAFC touches complete and utter FAILURE.

Bullshit - 18 k was far higher than many tipped...30K was a target clearly unachievable once Peel got in..and given that no GF had achieved 3k in years and years highly optimistic

No one ever expected 30k on a day like that, have a look at the tips on crowds on this thread.

Btw if the weather was so great genius, ask yourself why the parade of champions was CANCELLED? due to weather..lol

your a bloody clown Swan, even if 29,999 had turned up you would still be claiming it a failure.

29,999 DID NOT TURN UP. You're an apologist for the incompetence of the WAFC and a supporter of the damage done by the AFL to the WAFL.

I was no talking about what the posters on this forum were tipping; I was talking directly to what the WAFC expected in terms of the crowd response. It is completely irrelevant which teams played off in the GF with respect to the WAFC's attendance expectations.

I will again reiterate and point you to the bom.com.au site to see how much rain was recorded on that day.

Crap..Swan and I say again...the parade of champions was CANCELLED due to the WEATHER..

To say its completely irrelevant what team plays in PATENT BS,,,especially coming from a swans person who consistently push their club as crowd pullers , DESPITE never pulling a 30K crowd in the post AFL era, I will remind you that SFFC v Claremont pulled 38,000 plus in 1989 ( poor weather also) and the following year SD played the numbers COLLAPSED..

SUBI v PEEL two of the smallest supported clubs in the State - Peel have virtually SFA fans.

And just to ram home again your alternate facts on the weather I will state again the parade of champions was CANCELLED to due inclement weather.

Btw the rain for the day was 7.8 and the max was ONLY 16 deg AND total sunshine recorded was a PISS POOR 4.5 hrs.
