yep..I understand what you're saying Baz and I too would probably keep an eye on them from afar but wouldn't actively support the club like I do at present. How could anyone celebrate a flag where the bulk of the playing group were West Coast or Freo?

It almost beggars belief that supporters would cheer on players that have to be there because they can't get a game with the top team rather than because they want to play WAFL. If Subi aligned themselves then that would be it for me.

Bc most of your players are not local juniors but imports in $ubi jumpers.I have been thru worse. The mid to late eighties when both the royals and perth were supposed to get a great deal by relocating to the Waca and ended up a flop.Getting belted and hardly winning any games in that period. The amount of times we had thirty goals kicked against us in that period.Players leaving a sinking ship.Nearly going under in 1990.At least I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.Trust me it is about the money.I decided to stay and support by being a member paying for membership which included season pass and give a donation because in the end you have two choices stay and help your club to get to a finacially secure position or try to destroy it.

the difference is chaddy that the non-locals playing for us are Subi players full stop and not West Coast or Freo who can't make the grade.

Updated would now be the worst WAFL average attendance figures since World War II
If this doesn't sound alarm bells at WAFC HQ I don't know what will?
I will repeat this comp desperately needs a strong Swans & Perth playing Finals football ASAP!

...And the week 23 Fixtures are the lowest attended for that week for over 10 years!! Several previous rounds this season have also had the lowest attendances seen for many years also!!
If my mathematics is correct, the qualifying rounds are showing a total decrease of 17.3%, compared to 2015? :( :(
Or just over 31 thousand less people for the 2016 qualifying rounds.
If someone had said at seasons beginning that we'd finish up minus 17.3 percent down on attendances this season, I'd have pissed my pants laughing at them.
If the alarm bells that are ringing in a very loud deafening fashion cannot be heard over there at the "so called" commission, some very very serious questions need answering!!

Exactly Grassy. Last seasons total qualifying round attendance was nothing to become excited about neither!! This season, the alarm bells started ringing as far back as week 7, when we were minus 13% down at the corresponding time from 2015. To be that far in the negative so early in the season was a huge worry way back then.
Going to be very interested in hearing officialdoms excuse on this one! Wonder if they'll use the ol' weather excuse this time?

No doubting the weather will get rolled out as an excuse WAG and yes it certainly has been a wet Winter but the crowds have been diminishing year after year since the alignments mk II came in which also coincided with that other mob$ domination.
If people still cant or don't want to believe that both reasons have turned hard core WAFL fans away in droves (and maybe for good) then we might as well give up now!

So very disappointing.
Just over 149,300 people attended the 23 Qualifying fixtures. That being the lowest total for over 10 years!!
And yet in 1980, the total attendance for that season being over 780,000.
Things are simply going pear-shaped in the so called super duper modern age!!
