i can just see it now...a WP player belts one of the few non-aligned WART players and an all in brawl erupts with the aligned guys coming from all directions to protect their team mate and the EP jumper.......not.

Spot on BH is full of shite, EP had the biggest drop in attendances of ALL clubs last year, some passion! LMAO.

As you say to try and compare the remnant WAFL of the Post Eagles Era ( I assume that is the modern era BH refers) to the pre Eagles era is just a joke, there is just a shadow of interest in the entire thing compared to that time, fark me we are splitting a bees dick arguing over crowds of 1500 to 2500 , its farcical , you would of got 2000 just in a members area in the hey day! and another 10,000 in the outter.

Days of Billard Balls flying at players, Special Trains to Venues, Decorated Shops in whole towns GF week, Cheer Squads, et al are long gone.

At least at Foundation Day Derby day you get a glimpse at what the once great WAFL once was , albeir a fleeting one, but one never there less, because when you start hearing jokers claim that a oval was jumping with 2000 people there , you know they are clueless.

And yet you keep trying to tell us all the Fremantle Derby where there were 1000 tops for the League match at the last one on a Sunday arvo with no other games for competition is the be all and end all of the WAFL!
feck freeze you are right if that's our supposed showpiece fixture  :S

As an East Perth supporter, our crowds have dropped off a cliff. But can anyone explain why we are number one in total attendance. What the hell is going on at these other clubs. Is the WAFL that far gone that a club that has lost more than half its supporter base is near the top. Or as I was told are some clubs under reporting crowds to implement dodgy accounting practices.

We don't go to EP games anymore so I don't know what there crowds are like. But why would anyone be surprised their crowds have dropped off ?? I thought it would be a sure thing given how many didn't want it, and that completely laughable prediction that the Eagles supporters would get involved. That was the funniest joke I'd ever heard. I also suspect other crowds have dropped off because of the alignment. Most people simply do not see it as a fair competition & therefore have lost interest. What compounded it even more was the fact EP & PT got $300k more per year than the other 7 clubs, despite the fact they get access to entire AFL lists.

It isn't going to get better either.
Surprise, surprise.

All fair points Jardine apart from the $300000, it doesn't really address my question however. I would have thought EP should be at the bottom not near the top. You hear the stories that people don't attend games against the aligned clubs home or away. Something is not adding up here, perhaps the commission is altering crowds to suit their agenda.

Makes me laugh BH you seem to judge EF v SF games on that last one you attended.....no mention of the crowds from the 2 earlier games or games from previous years.......fark you are a hard taskmaster mate.......apparently in your eyes one failure is one too many ......... :pinch:
