Glad I remembered a few things from yesteryear amongst my adolescent fog...

I was once saw the under soles of Troy Ugle's boots above my head as he took a huge pack mark so he gets my vote here. I've never felt so small on a footy field as I did in that moment....thanks Troy, nice way to ruin a kids confidence

What a player Troy was mate I saw him take some of the biggest screamers of all time that unfortunately were never captured on TV and I loved the way he just rag dolled the opposition Full Backs when he moved to the goal square!

Talk to me here Southy...Closey was a coach of mine at ammos level and used to talk the talk...are you suggesting he could also walk the walk??? Notice he is listed as only having played 1 league game at Swans.

DW Brian Close kicked 10 goals for Swans vs the hapless EF playing as a rover in 1975 ..freeze might be able to talk us through each goal if we ask him nicely!

That's devastating news BH...on good terms with Closey now but geez did the man crunch me as a coach. I used to intentionally miss training on the Thursday night just to avoid selection in the ones during one particular season. In hindsight I was a cheeky little bastard at the time and needed a kick in the arse.

Yeah mate he walked his talk - we were surprised he left the black & whites that late in his career but he played some blinders for us even so

Yeah mate he walked his talk - we were surprised he left the black & whites that late in his career but he played some blinders for us even so

He had a stint in the SANFL at Woodville in between SD & SF I think Southy.
